LL Cool J - Year Of The Hip-Hop
This outstanding song has a strange story behind it. Year Of The Hip-Hop was recorded 18 years ago, but it was only released last year. Back in 1994 K-Def was working on some beats when LL Cool J walked in on his session and said “let’s make some tracks together”. After making this song both of them agreed they had a sure fire hit on their hands, but for some reason it was never used…and then wound up missing. The recording of the studio session was feared to be lost for good, but it was randomly found years later stuck behind a damn radiator! So in 2011 K-Def and LL Cool J proudly released Year Of The Hip Hop. It’s a true hip-hop classic in my book, and my all time favorite song by LL Cool J.
