Gibran Tyalif Salim, he is the second child in his family, known by his nickname Salim, born in Bogor on April 1, 1999. He was mixed-raced; his father was Chinese, and his mother Indonesian. Salim's parents had met while his mother was stationed in Beijing, China. They fell in love and got married. Luckily, they didn't have discrimination from both sides of their families for their interracial relationship. On March 3, 1999 his parents moved to Indonesia. And then, his father converts to Moslem when Salim born. He changed his citizenship to WNI too.

Salim spent most of his childhood with his head in the clouds, dreaming up fantastic world and imagining far-off places, Salim's parents couldn't help but love their imaginative son. As Salim grew older, his dreams only became more vivid. He would spend hours watching Youtube to learn Adobe programs and sketching illustrations of the worlds he created in his mind.
