This is cool, I like how you used two clippings to make an image, it looks surreal with the perspective as well since she is bigger than the car.

Avianna is a actress/model she star in many bird like films currently she modeling for a car company to promote their new car. She doesn't drive she usually flies around, don't know why they call her out for this shoot. Her favorite foods are sunflower seeds and worms. For hobbies she just like to flies around to stretch her wings with her less successful bird pals always gloating.

I like the balance of sketch and watercolor in this. The colors blend really well around each other. The collage also contributes to this piece nicely.

I really like the color choices for this piece. The smooth brushes with the contrasting splatter goes really well together to make this abstract.

Final Project

For my final, I decided to recreate a photo I took of my dog. The first movement I used in this painting was Post-Impressionism. I used thin brush strokes, painting what I could see but not making it perfect. I was playful with my style, using the brush strokes to create depth and shape.

I also used Fauvism in this work. I was inspired by this movement, I really liked the idea of using alternate, bright colors. I chose some warm, brighter colors than he really is. I used the colors to make darker/brighter areas of his coat stand out even more than what it appears in the photo. I used light blue for some of his white hair, it's something that stands out on him because his usual breed is spotty white/brown/black, and he's just straight brown except for a few spots so it stands out to me and I wanted to express that.

The last movement I incorporated into this piece was abstract expressionism. I thought it would be a fun way to completely rework this photo to an art piece. I took some inspiration from Barnett Newman's style of vertical stripes/"zips". I put down some unique brush strokes, dashes, and splatters as well where I felt they would add some feeling and depth for the background.

I made my puppet out of a toilet paper tube string chopsticks, clipping from one of my old pieces and glue. I cut his head out of the tube, drew face on it and glued some frayed string for his hair. I wanted his legs to be mobile, so I tied string to chopsticks and attached the strings to the back of the inside of the tube for his arms. I just stuffed the chopsticks through the sides of the tube as well as the long strings that I used to control him.

My puppets name is Joel. He likes to have a good time, but also strives to be smart. He wants to be excepted into Princeton University.

For his legs I wanted them to move so I tied string to the chopsticks and then stuck them to the back of the tube inside. For his arms I stuffed the chopsticks in the side of the tube, as well as the long strings that I used to control him.

I chose “creative” as my phrase because growing up with technology, I usually found a way to use it creatively. I would create videos/movies using my iPod, digital cameras got me into photography, I would use computer software for music and art. Generally just internet and technology inspired and allowed me to be creative.

Found this "Spritz Method" on tiktok where you can spray the paper with water then dab water color on it. Didn't really have a theme going with this besides for the end I found some nice nature images from a magazine.
