Note: Orin is called DAD, Santino is FATHER; simply because Orin is the cooler parent‼️

Younger: Nicholas was a very shy but talented boy; he loved to draw and paint and hear his father ramble all about the paintings in his grandpa’s collection. He couldn’t make much friends due to his fear of being made fun of, so usually people who wanted to be his friend had to go to him first. Nico was always by himself in his own world, daydreaming the prettiest of paintings and drawing his own interpretations of them; occasionally his art would include his family or the cats he’d see on the way to school. Santino insisted he start learning how to use weapons and learn self defense at a young age but Orin denied his requests as Nico was only 4 when he started bringing it up; of course, the boy didn’t like to hear the bickering but would distract himself with a couple of crayons and the game shows on TV. That was another thing Nicholas loved, television. He loved all shows, even the advertisements; from romance to family drama (and anything he was allowed to watch at the ages of 4-15), he always found a strange sense of comfort in the casts on TV, almost like he was living in the fictional world of the episodes. It’s not like he wasn’t loved at home, but something about the way these families lives were normal and gun/violence free made him envy them.

Older: Being heir to the Camorra wasn’t very fun, but Nicholas definitely got used to it. His father would always ramble to him about how they have so many enemies that could go after him just for being his son; but Nico didn’t believe that, because it’d never happen. In his whole 25 years of living it hasn’t happened once; the closest thing being him getting lost at a family event and having to be driven home by Gianna. Despite all that, Santino would keep his word on being the leader till his last breath and didn’t want Nicholas getting involved in all this cartel nonsense until that time. However, Nicholas thought that there was no reason to train for so many hours in his growing years just for it to all be postponed; he’d fight his own father for the leading chair and would even kill him if he had to. After all that’s what he learned from the old man. “Take what’s yours even if it means someone dies.” Even with all the ruthless tendencies he’s learned, his dad contributed to shaping him into a respectable and kind hearted soul to those who deserved the kindness; he learned that sometimes peace is earned and violence should be spared for the irrational.

She was. I didn’t like talking to her for that reason. But atleast my papa liked talking to me more— kept me away from the ocean as much as possible. He usually took me out to resorts instead, or restaurants. Besides, I don’t like sand that much
