she sat down quietly before looking at him for a few seconds. “…how long have you been a ghoul?”

“Three thousand years. I got bitten.”

He smiles and leads her to his room. “Come sit with me?”

"That would have been awful. Come to my room?"

“Oh shit. I forgot. It’s been so long since i’ve had human food. I sometimes forget.”

“it’s a damn good thing you didn’t eat anything then. i’d still be into a movie though.”

“you must be new. human food is poisonous to ghouls. i mean, it’s not like we can die, but we can’t eat what they eat, we’ll get violently ill.”

“Oh shit. I forgot. It’s been so long since i’ve had human food. I sometimes forget.”

darla’s brows furrowed. “and puke my life away? no. if you like throwing up, then you can, but i don’t particularly enjoy it.”

“Do you not like popcorn?”

she stayed quiet for a few seconds, twisting her ring again. “…okay.”

“Would you like popcorn?”

she shook her head. “i don’t know.”

“How about a movie and cuddles?”

darla shrugged. “i don’t know. i don’t know what’s wrong.”

“I’m sorry little one. How can we distract you?”

“i don’t think anybody can make it better. i’m just tired of being so upset all the time… i used to be really, really happy. i was the girl people hated because i was so happy all the time. now i’m just… depressing.”

“I’m sorry. Is it because you’re a ghoul maybe?”

darla shook her head. “no. i just know i’m sad. i don’t know what’s going on, i just… cry.”

He frowns. “I wish I could make it better beautiful.”

“i know what you are, i know our scent,” she said with a sniffle. “i don’t know. i don’t know what’s wrong, i’m just… sad…”

He smiles at her. “I’m sorry lovely. It’s hard being a ghoul. Do you know what you’re sad about?”

She moved her head a bit to look at him. “There’s not much to tell”, she admitted with a shrug. “Born and raised in a forest, always on the run….I love to dance — but you already knew that.” She laughed to herself. “I’m just a typical nymph.”

“Why were you always on the run gorgeous?” He runs his hands through her hair happily.

He nods. "Okay! Tell me about you gorgeous?" he holds onto her happily.

He smiles and pets her hair happily. He holds onto her and hums. “This is very nice.”

“Let’s explore tomorrow”, she said before placing a tiny kiss on his neck. “I don’t want to get up again.” She ran her hands over his back, enjoying being so close to someone who didn’t want to hurt her.

He waits for her to get her jeans off then grabs her and jumps in with her.

“Off to the pool?”

She took his hand and lead him through a set of doors, the pool awaiting them. “See? Now, go enjoy yourself.” She said adamantly, chuckling a little as she walked over to the edge, undoing her jeans.

He smiles and pets her hair happily. He holds onto her and hums. "This is very nice."

He leads her to his bedroom and lays her down. He pulls her close to his chest and rests his chin on her shoulder. He sighs happily.

After she laid down and Kylen pulled her close, Nina wrapped her arms around him while closing her eyes. “This is nice”, she mumbled happily, yet it was loud enough for him to hear.

He leads her to his bedroom and lays her down. He pulls her close to his chest and rests his chin on her shoulder. He sighs happily.

He smiles at her. “Would you like to cuddle with me?” he shivers as her finger traces his chest.

“Very much”, she answered right away. “Dancing and cuddling are the two things I never turn down.” She winked at him and giggled.

She watched her finger draw small signs on his chest, as she listened to him. “I like you too — a lot”, she admitted, her voice soft and honest.
