ok so called my parents and there was, indeed, a weird braviary that's been seen around. thankfully it's been staying near the forest but apparently it went after a trainer that got too close. they're fine, they got away, but,, that's concerning.

i'm wondering if it's hostile bc of the weird surroundings? i also wonder if it's trying to make its way to lake acuity; i think i remember something about that being their natural habitat that i read somewhere?? but that was a while ago so i might be wrong.

either way, not great. thankfully my parents said they'd warn their neighbors that might not know about it yet and try to get someone in contact with gardenia so she can give out a more formal warning.

#unfortunately you warn trainers as just Some Guy #and they tend to take that as a 'please go here and find the hostile pokemon' #usually those types listen better to gym leaders #usually it's the younger trainers that ignore warnings too #so extra dangerous for something like this #ugh also hate that my first instinct was also #'go run to eterna to deal with the braviary' #but i should not do that bc 1: not sure what to do with it #2: not prepared #and 3: im not in the greatest health for that #i will Super offer to help if someone is in a bad situation #but i shoudlnt just rush into every issue i encounter unfortunately #ri used chatter! #unreality #pokemon irl #pkmn irl

hey! sorry for no post for a few days things came to a head with the shuppet after it tried to feed on my emotions and got interrupted.

vivi managed to find where it's been holed up by following it the other night, and i started leaving treats near its hideout around mealtimes. it took until today for it to approach me again and i managed to get it to trust me enough to bring it inside and make it a little safe area in the spare room. just gotta hope the influx of pokemon when jay visits won't scare it off again, but i'll probably have vivi keep an eye on it since she doesn't much like spending much time with jay's team since they're a little rowdy.

hopefully after this weekend i can take it to town to get it checked at the pokecenter and see if it's registered to someone.

for now, though, it's just following me around the house at a distance ominously.

Hey uh. I saw some weird looking Braviary flying north towards Eterna. Pretty sure they're Hisuian. Maybe they're headed for the Lake Acuity or something, I don't know.

I looked it up, turns out they can be pretty hostile. Thought I'd let you know. Do you have any idea who I should maybe contact about this?

i'm not sure but possibly friendball-irl? i think they're a part of the group trying to do something about the hisuian variants. or someone in #radstealth? i've mostly stayed out of things because i'm not in the battle scene anymore unfortunately, so i'm not 100% on who all is a part of that.

Does anyone know if human-style clothes exist for Tropiuses?

arc i woke up in a cold sweat with anxiety and was worried something was seriously wrong but i think the shuppet got inside. there was a little shadow that flitted out through my window and the feelings are ebbing now that it's gone. i think vivi followed after bc usually she'd be hovering, but at least sweets is cuddling me.

i think it might have been trying to feed off my negative emotions, but either sweets or vivi startled it and interrupted the process. so i guess all the emotions fell back on me and woke me. not fun don't recommend -10/10

they're uh, normal/ghost types if i remember right?? so if he's cold. that's. probably why. also might be why your umbreon is looking at you weird for checkin on it often but i can't be sure on that.

you might want to reach out to the RAD group (#radstealth i think is the tag they're using?) as they're currently the ones dealing with pokemon misplaced in time and/or space i think. because there's apparently some sort of crisis going on right now that's causing a bunch of old variants thought to be extinct to be,,, popping up everywhere. sinnoh seems to be a central point but i know unova was hit and i wouldn't be surprised if other regions are too but reports aren't coming in because these variants aren't well known.

glad he seems to be doing alright though and that your umbreon has taken a shine to him!

Is it, like illegal to keep this cute little Zorua I found? He’s kinda weird lookin and a little sad but I can’t find it’s pack and Zorua kits are notoriously bad at thermoregulating without cuddling up to the litter,,, plus his fur is so cute and wispy I think he might be underfed 🥺

a little blurry bc my hands are still bothering me but sweets fell asleep on my leg while i was sitting up, so i guess i’m sleeping sitting up tonight because it’s super illegal to move him when he’s this cute. i guess he wore himself out with lola today because he is passed out cold.

aaand no i don't believe so? at least not the kind you're talking about, i don't think!

we use repels for doing that though! it's a spray that's harmless to pokemon but doesn't tend to smell that great to them, so they usually stay away. it's not a fullproof thing but works well enough, especially if you have a pokemon that's a bit stronger than that area's wild ones to help put them off approaching.

man i'm kinda glad i decided to put off the visit to my parents now. i usually take the long way around through floaroma and eterna forest, and the idea of being caught off guard by a hisuian sneasel or some other variant,,, i usually carry antidote on me for the forest pokemon anyway but still.

maybe i should reach out to some other blogs that are more involved to see what's going on,,,

hey sorry to bother you since it seems you had a rough time with that hisuian (?!) sneasel but could i ask around where you encountered it? was it closer to eterna forest or floaroma or,,,? i'm a little concerned because my parents live near the forest though on eterna city's side, and i want to give them a heads up and have them spread word with some of the houses on the outskirts of the city just in case there's more strange pokemon lurking near the forest.

Found them just south of Floroma town, near route 204. So not too close to Eterna City. Funnily enough, I'm actually headed up there, so I'll let you know if I see any other weird pokemon once I reach the forest!

Hey, would you happen to know anything about a purple sneasel? I found one attacking a normal sneasel in the woods near Floroma Town - poor guy was beat up pretty bad, and was seemingly poisoned by the weird one.

Yup, that’s a Hisuian Sneasel! It’s fighting/poison. Handledthose guys the other day and woo rheysure pack a punch. Even whenthey don’t mean to, the babies don’t know how to control their poison yet so sometimes you get jabbed and it HURTS.

spending some time outside with lucky boy today since it's a little warmer than it has been and he's so happy lol. he's been swimming around and showing off how pretty he is. maybe i should enter him in a contest again sometime soon? he always enjoys them and i know he's been a little restless lately so it might be good to get him out and about for a bit.

oh i could invite my gram to come see it too and come over afterward,, i know lucky's missed her and i haven't had her over to mine for a while despite me going over to her's fairly often.

either way it's nice just relaxing outside with my pokemon for a bit. vivi's wandering the area while keeping an eye out for that shuppet but comes by to bother me every so often, and sweets and lola are "sparring" in some free space. and by that i mean lola is teasing sweets and sweets is trying to (affectionately) tackle her. he missed spectacularly a minute ago and lucky stopped his swanna-ing long enough to make noise at him in, i assume, amusement.
