Reading a section of Tom King’s Batman run (the stuff with Thomas Wayne, was doing it for a personal project) is what got me to actually start reading ongoing DC stuff. I heard that this author I enjoyed was writing Wonder Woman (my favorite character) and said “sign me up.”

I love Skar King. Genuinely the most entertaining and fun to watch antagonist in the MonsterVerse. Weeks after the movie came out and I’m still geeking out about how evil this fucking guy is. This character is so damn funny. Long live Fraud King.

something hilarious i'm seeing about Kong and Godzilla, and the ship gong/kongzilla/mothkongzilla is that people are saying that Kong is an old man.

spiritually, yes, he's a Perpetually Exhausted Old Man who just wants to take a nap with his adopted kids.

physically and chronologically, he's only recently reached maturity.

he was still growing in Kong: Skull Island which took place in the 70s, reached his full height in GvK which took place in the 2020s, is a little shorter than our boy Goji, and i think some of the comics put his birth around the 1700s?????

all the other titans were in hibernation at that point (on the surface at least), meaning that Kong is basically an 18 yr old and the ship kongzilla is a May/December romance LMAO

I’d like to think that everyone in Smallville does know who Superman is. It’s one of those small towns where even if you don’t know someone, you know their relative or their employer or their best friend. And since Clark was absolutely saving people from car accidents and stuff ever since he got his powers, even without him ever being Superboy they made the connection of “that sweet Kent boy moved to Metropolis just before Superman showed up.”

But they keep quiet. They Clark is their friend, they respect his privacy and appreciate what he does. They don’t talk about it with each other, but it’s an unspoken understanding between everyone old enough to have known him growing up.

It��s a mutual thing, Clark kinda knows that he can come to Smallville to unwind. So when he comes home for Christmas no one says anything when he carries a tree by himself. They don’t advertise that Superman seems to visit their school assemblies a bit more often than others (Clark is absolutely a nice enough guy to do that when asked, even outside of Smallville or Metropolis). When a kid finally figures it out, their parents sit them down and tell them how important it is not to blab. And if an adult starts asking question, about two dozen angry farmers stare at them til they agree to keep their mouth shut
