I Am Cait is on tv and because I can't change the channel as its being recorded etc etc I'm going to watch it. Looks like it's the first episode. Im so happy she has support and has come out to the world for the benefit of being herself. And that she wants that positivity for every other trans person. I want that for everyone too. Our community needs to be strong and as one. We need love and support. We need all this publicity to show we are people and that we are here to stay. Caitlin is a problematic woman at times. She is republican and she has a singleminded view of being trans that can be a little abrasive or offensive sometimes. But she is learning. We are all learning. Some day I'll have the openness about myself that Caitlyn does. Some day I'll be known by my name everywhere I go. I can do this. I can be me. An authentic life... That's all I want.

Okay so I've been looking into blogging and freelance journalism. I don't know why I didn't look at it sooner. I've got a passion for writing, I'm not too bad at it, I've got the technical know how to set up a blog and run it. Since I don't have a laptop I've been looking into that. £169.99 for a chrome book with great reviews, 4gb memory and 13.5 hour battery life. I wouldn't need to buy a Microsoft office package since I'd be doing my stuff I online or through google docs. Gmail is easy to set up. There are a bunch of topics I'm interested in that I could write about. Gender, sexuality, gender equality, UK politics, the natural world, archaeology, space... I've got a broad interest package right there. I can get a cheap laptop, set myself up, and get writing. The journalism course I've looked at is all online and is only £410 but that might be out of my price range anyway. If I bought that and a laptop is be down to £380 to my name. So let's put education on a back burner. I can write for free, build up a profile and portfolio, get myself noticed by one or two people online. All in my own time with fewer deadlines. And it's something I'm interested in. Can I do this?

I really regret deleting my medium account. I've lost all that writing and I was proud of that! I was so proud of how well I had managed to express myself, of how I had written in a coherent and compelling manor. I've got some skill when it comes to writing articles and possibly fiction. I need to hone that skill and use it. I need to make another account under another name and do more writing. Might as well start with a referendum piece, right?
