Today was crazy busy. I walked in for my shift very early at 5:00 am today. I usually start at 6:00 am. I and the guy in the picture (David) went to change and grabbed our coffee which we needed all the energy that we could get and went in early since it was busy. We had a lot of passengers coming in and Also I had a chance to work as line ambassadors which were amazing. Eventually, the other students started coming and helping us out as well since there were just two of us working helping and we all worked together and got the job done. Once no flights were flying around 10 ish it became slow as usual and we completed our tasks, love it when it's busy. Today was honestly a great day!
Btw I enjoy working with these two. I will miss working with them 🥺👊🏾

We got to intake B coming in already! I’m really sad that this week is my last day with WestJet. I want to keep working here but sadly gotta go since my placement is finishing. Today I got the opportunity to talk to the new students and also show them around and help them. Whoever needed help or had questions. It was so much fun today because I also got asked if I can assist people who need extra assistance on wheelchairs and bags. It’s always nice helping them and also getting the experience because it was my first time helping someone in the oversized area because I normally sent people there but I didn’t know the process that much since we don’t work there. I was happy that I got more help pushing her into the security checking because I had to go out and take her wheelchair in the oversize area and I needed her boarding pass, it was great having a helping hand and they were so patient with me which I was so happy since it was my first time doing the whole process. It was fun and interesting to experience and I was happy that the CSA trusted me with her so it was a special day for me. I applied for the CSA position. I'm hoping to get hired and keep doing what I love. Hope I get in 🙏🏾

At WestJet we have to keep our eyes open and be ware and alert for many things and  also we have to keep our eyes on human trafficking at the airport. I find this card in every washroom, which I find very smart putting in there. Since human trafficking is often a crime hidden in simple sight, it is essential to be aware of its warning signs. Some signs that a person may be a victim of human trafficking include especially in the case of women and children; Appearing underweight. Showing signs of physical injuries and abuse. I was happy to see this in the washroom also

Today it was busy. We had wheelchair assist people that we help out and who helping people with the Kiosks and redirecting and showing people where are things are located, the train is and where to take the vaccine etc. We had a busy day today as always, and I found that I will not see Gen this coming weekend since it will be my last shift at WestJet. I am so sad and grateful that I got this fantastic opportunity to work with these fantastic people. I get to work my last shit with David since he will be working that day. Humber students have different schedules and hours than Seneca students. That is why

I enjoy working with the students and friends there and helping out passengers as best we can to make their trip easy and less stressful. Ensuring the Kiosk is running smoothly, and the passenger is less stressed is essential. It is always essential to scan and report if the Kiosk is not working because we got many passengers coming up, and it is always packed. The problem we have is when it gets too busy we forget the machine that is down because we are moving back and forth and when a passenger goes to the machine and call one of us for help not knowing that the machine is not working. Since sometimes it is a bit hard to let each of us know the one machine is down, we always do our best to communicate or give each other signals if we are busy helping passengers, which is always lovely. Once we are less busy, we update each other about what is working and not working.

It is always essential to always keep watch on these essential tags. More stickers are not here but always keep an eye and give them specials tags for each individual's baggage.

Today's shift was busy. We had a lot of passengers travelling for funerals, vacations and jobs, promotions and business. We had a lot of people who needed help with the Kiosks and who needed assistance and directions where they needed to go and where the oversize baggage drop area is located, and dictions where the airlines they are flying to where it is located. Sometimes we had passengers know where they could get tested and where the washroom and restaurant were. Moreover, we had these passengers whose flight was cancelled, and they were sitting on the floor beside the kiosks. Goldie and I saw them and went to see if we could help them with anything since it was not busy. We asked them if they needed help with anything, and they told us their flight got cancelled, and they gave them a coupon to get a free meal. So it was hard to understand them since they didn't speak English. I used my hands and phone to show them pictures, and I told them where they could sit down comfortably. Also, it was our first time seeing those coupons, and Goldie thought it was a hotel Coupon at first because they kept telling us that they were going to pick them up and take them to a hotel, etc. were not sure. I suggested going downstairs and went to Tim Hortons and asked about the coupon, and the lady said they could use them here as long as it was WestJet since the CSA was not there. Since couples wanted to eat food. When we went downstairs trying to figure out the coupon situation, we met someone for Humber who spoke the same language and which we knew. She helped us translate, which we were glad. We told them they could either stay here until their flight or book at a hotel to stay in until it's the time since they were flying at midnight. They choose to stay. We told them they could use the coupon to get the food anywhere at the airport. We showed them where they need to grab food if they get hungry etc. overall, that was a great experience every day; I learned new things working at WestJet. I also learned a few words in people's language etc. I enjoyed today's shift since it was busy, and I learned new things simultaneously.
I love everyone at WestJet. Btw Goldie brought us kids stickers they give to children, but we were excited to get them and put them on our phones to show off that we work with WestJet. And also, my good friend that I met from WestJet brought me Wendy's witch; it was sweet.

It was nice knowing these fantastic people we had our first training together. We help each other a lot when it comes to work and school. Goldie is a sweet girl. We thought we would be working together, but training was the last time we had a shift together, but we never lost in tough. I work the morning shift mainly; sometimes, I see her when she works her afternoon shift. She will stay with me and catch up. etc., but I have not seen Angel ever since; I hope to shift with them this coming month, bedside that. The employees at WestJet are super sweet and very kind and also there always there to help us if we have any questions. I honestly like how friendly everyone at WestJet is. I want to be a flight attendant for WestJet in the future. Planning on applying since the career expo is coming soon since it is always good to work at WestJet. I always meet amazing kind people every day. Let us say that I am enjoying my placement at WestJet.
Moreover, I have been working the morning shift until Jan 23. I had to work from 1500-2300 PM. Work was not as busy as the morning shift, and it was quiet, and, around 8 PM, you see employees primarily. That is one thing I notice. call me silly, but I love the morning shift because it is so busy, and I love helping the passengers out and showing the directions where they need to go and most importantly help them with on the kiosk and tags etc. I enjoy all that because you are on your feet, and time passes by so fast. That is what I enjoy about it. The evening shift was good, and I met many students from Humber college, and I was the only Seneca student there. However, most of the time, I am the only Seneca student whom I do not mind and enjoy getting people, and l enjoy working with all the students. It was a good experience overall.

My first day working at WestJet was exciting. We had to meet our training at terminal 3 at Toronto Pearson airport. I was so excited that I did not sleep! I came early and met my trainer at Starbucks and made friends there, and I enjoyed the airport tour. so far, so good!
