How to be an effective literate individual? By: John Mar P. Genova

As a 21st century learner, we are now freely exposed to social media. Information literatures are great help to our daily living. We are able to be updated about the latest trend by just a simple notification on your socila media accounts, we are able to search specific topic from the internet without reading piled of books and most especially we are also able to respond to those timely or current issues in our society and also we are able to express our feelings. What I am trying to point out in being an information literate individual, we are very lucky to experience the opportunity from information literatures.

To be an effective literate individual, we must be responsible on using information literatures. We must be also aware in believing certain informations that we encounter. We must be aware about what we take in or believe and what we share to others. An information literature individual must not share personal information about himself or herself, he or she must also get information from reliable sources only such government agencies and especially an information literate individual knows how to filter informations gathered from different sources. And that is how to be an effective literate individual.
