yo we just got an ffvii short story covering cloud's journey to midgar and it helpfully clarified and canonized a few elements of the SOLDIER exam and what it entails before you fully enlist.

most crucially for me though is they finally stated outright that the mako and jenova cocktail is indeed an injection. which is. surprising that it was never stated until now (og preferred to say that SOLDIER members were showered or bathed in mako).
