Do you know anything i can donate to for palestine that's not the gofundmes because the idea of having to choose who needs my money more is just. scary to me they all need it 3: maybe there's a thing that splits/distributes money evenly???? idk but help would be appreciated
Gazafunds actually deals with this anxiety and makes a decision for you if you want. Their home page has a spotlighted fundraiser and the code consider things like how close the gfm is to finishing, when the most recent donation is, etc. So it's randomized to help as many people as possible.
There's also @helpgazachildren which if you donate, you can help multiple people at once since it's a whole mutual aid fund, or at least close to it. Hussam distributes money to people who need it when he's asked.

Decided today that I wanted to add something
Things that I didn’t like about RC9GN
Look, I’ve seen RC9GN and it holds a special place in me and it’s one of my favorite shows despite its flaws. Me pointing out the things that I didn’t like are supposed to give my opinion and not meant to hate the creators or the writing team. There were plenty of things that I liked and I have made a list on that but here I’m just giving my thoughts on what didn’t work for me.
~~~~~
The first thing was the slang used. I didn’t like the slang used like ‘wonk’, ‘honk’, ‘shoob’, ‘juice’, etc. Like, the show would’ve been fine just using ‘heck’, ‘frick’, ‘lame’, ‘dork’, stuff like that. It was just weird to hear it and it was too dorky for me.
—————
Second thing was that Randy wasn’t really written as a person. There’s a thread here that explains it well. But the gist of it is that Randy wasn’t expanded on as person outside of being the ninja. Another thing about Randy is that he had some issues in the show that weren’t worked on or even touched on which is also explained in the thread
thread link: https://www.tumblr.com/jamjumpingjambore/89148964149/weinerman-tested-theultimatebun
—————
The third thing was Randy apparently being the strongest ninja. I want to make it clear that it’s not the idea of Randy being the strongest ninja that I don’t like. It’s the was that, according to Scott on his tumblr page, Randy was the strongest cause he was willing to learn from his mistakes and improve from them. And that doesn’t make any sense to me because it brings up the question, other ninjas didn’t learn from their mistakes nor improved from them? So out of all the ninjas throughout the past 800 years, Randy was the only one who learned from his mistakes? And if he wasn’t then he can’t be the strongest ninja solely on that fact. Also, how the hell does a ninja’s strength and power level depend on their ability to learn and grow as both a person and a warrior.
Like okay, if there was a ninja that did something wrong and saw it was bad, like seeing how one attack didn’t work or causing a certain conflict that was bad move then it’s obvious that they wouldn’t do it again and/or try something else while learning from it but that’s common sense and anyone can do it, so why is it seemingly different for Randy?
—————
Fourth was Randy yelling out all his attacks. I’m sure I don’t need to explain it. It got pretty annoying and irritating after a while. Plus aren’t ninjas suppose to be quiet?
—————
The fifth thing was the four year policy. I guess this bugs me cause it was never explained why the mantle had to be passed down to someone else after four years. I mean, someone was chosen to be the ninja cause they were seen as worthy but why won’t they be worthy in four years? Does the power corrupt a person after a while? Is the suit cursed? Does it turns on it’s host after a certain amount of time?
Speaking of the mantel being passed down, I’m pretty sure that it was mentioned somewhere that it’s the Creep/Cowboy that picks who’s going to be the next ninja but how do they know who’s worthy to be given the suit? Does the Creep/Cowboy have some kind of power to feel a persons vibe and sense if they’re a good person? Does he stalk them to see what kind of person they are? Or does he just give the ninja suit and Nomicon to someone and hope for the best and essentially play Russian roulette with a person to see if they’re going to be a hero or a villain?
—————
The sixth thing that I didn’t like and also disappointed me was the final fight with the sorcerer. The fight was just barley near two minutes and it was frustrating because throughout the entire series before the fight there was a lot of hype up to the sorcerer and repeated mention how they were super powerful, so it was really anti climatic when two minutes is all that it took.
It bothers me because it took First Ninja everything to seal him. The guy lost his clan, brothers, and devoted his whole life to defeat the sorcerer and the most he could do was just seal the him. Then Randy defeats him in literally under two minutes and the kid didn’t even use all tricks and tactics he learned throughout both seasons. He just had a bit of a sword fight with the sorcerer and then Julian and Howard came from the portal above to pin him down, then Randy sealed away his power orbs to end the fight.
Then there’s also the issue with how did Randy know he just needed to seal away the sorcerer’s orbs to defeat him? Why didn’t the first Ninja do that? Everything for the past 800 years with the monsters could’ve been avoided if he did that so why didn’t he?
There were a lot of issues with the final fight with the sorcerer but these three were my biggest ones.
—————
The seventh thing was that I didn’t like the abundance of gross-out humor. I know that the show didn’t rely on it entirely and I appreciate that but there were still some gross-out humor that was over the top and kinda ruined the mood for me. Like there were some legitimately funny moments that got a laugh out of me that didn’t have any gross-out humor whatsoever and I wish that there were more of those
—————
The other thing that bugged me was that there was hardly any points in the show that were handled in a serious manner. Almost everything was handled as a joke which bugged me cause there were times in the show where supposed to be taken more seriously then they were handled. I’m not saying that the show should’ve been edgy and ‘dark’ but it could’ve at least handled certain matters better
—————
I despised Howard with my entire being and more than anything else on the show. On my first run of the show, I didn’t think too much of it cause I was still a teen but now that I’m an adult I could see just how toxic Howard was. He treated Randy like dirt and a slave, constantly put him down, gaslight him, was responsible for getting people ‘stanked’, rarely ever apologized to Randy, tried making Randy abandon his responsibilities as protector of Norrisville so that he could things not nearly as important (cause apparently playing video games was more important than human life to him), used people around him like pawns, and would get all pissy at Randy for not doing what he wanted the way he wanted him to do it.
It really sucks cause even the show mostly treated like Randy was in the wrong for things that weren’t in his control. It was like the writing team expected the audience too see Randy as the problem for not devoting his every second to his toxic, pathetic excuse of a friend.
And what’s even worse is that so many people in the fandom seemed to have fallen for it, saying shit like ‘they compliment each other’ or ‘classic besties’. What Howard is is textbook toxic friend. Yeah, he has a few genuine moments where he’s a good friend and gives Randy good advice but even some of those were basic decency and what anyone else who didn’t know Randy would’ve done.
It especially infuriates me how people chalked it up to teenage behavior. And let me say this, there’s a difference between teenager behavior and a selfish, toxic person and Howard is the latter.
Even IF he was to grow out of his toxicity and grew up to be a better person like many in the rc9gn fandom say (which I fully don’t believe). Randy did not deserve to put up with how he was in the show, not even remotely.
God, I would’ve paid money to have the show replace Howard with better potential friends for Randy like Jacques and Theresa. I would loved that. I would’ve rather have seen Randy break away from his shithole friendship with Howard and get better friends and realize just how happier he was without that toxicity in his life
Rewrote this too
7/31/23 edit: I have recently wanted to add this too,
I loved Viceroy, he was everything you’d want in a man, sass, intelligent, and chaotic evil but in a endearing way. He was also one of the top five best characters in the show for me.
However, there is a problem I have when it comes to Viceroy that isn’t about him as a character, it’s more about McFist. I don’t know if I’m the only one who thinks this, but the way McFist and Viceroy’s dynamic worked was ‘a hard working black man is treated by shit by his angry white boss’
There were so many times where Viceroy was yelled at by McFist and ordered around like a dog and that’s just a god awful thing to do considering that Viceroy was the one actually doing the work for McFists selfish, evil ambition. Not to mention the episode where he was still expected to work even though he was obviously really sick.
My take? It would’ve been better if Viceroy had his own company of building robots and McFist would call for ‘commission robots’ to destroy the ninja. It works better cause Viceroy would be completely free from McFist and McFist wouldn’t be able to yell or treat him poorly unless he wanted to be completely on his own to kill the ninja.
I know that this looks like an angry rant that’s tied to a post about the things I loved about rc9gn but I have my reasons for it. I really did love Viceroy but how he was handled and treated was a huge no-no for me and I wanted to point out why I didn’t like it for a beloved character
Things I like about RC9GN
Alright, I felt like I made it seem like I hated the show for everything but that’s not true so I wanted to make a list on the things I did like about the show
—————
The Tengu was awesome. Although inaccurate to the actual Tengu in Japanese folklore, I loved it and thought it was better than the real thing in Japan. The design and power was amazing. But what frustrates me is that there were other spirits that were tied to the ninja other than the Tengu that I’m sure would’ve been explored more had it not been for the show getting cancelled
Tumblr media
—————
The monsters were also amazing. I loved the creativity when it came to ‘stank’. I mean, turning people into monsters when they’re emotionally vulnerable? YES. Not to mention that the people getting stanked could be a metaphor to people lashing out on others when they let their negative emotions consume them
—————
I liked the sorcerer because he was literally created from the greed and evil side of a human. And that concept made for a terrifying villain that was hellbent on destruction and suffering.
—————
Okay I LOVED the animation, that shit was peak and it was a major crime that the show was never nominated on a award for animation. Props to the background artist(s), I’ve never seen a kids show focus on as much detail and beautiful lighting as in rc9gn
This is just ONE setting, and it’s a sewer
—————
The first ninja was one of my favorite characters. Guy acted just like how I expected a warrior to act. Serious, determined and grim. I admire how he was willing to push forward and get his job done even after he lost his entire clan. His feats were also incredible. Bro sealed the Tengu in the carps eye, kicked the sorceress into another realm, trapped the sorcerer underground, and that’s not even mentioning the many battles he had to have fought with different monsters while tracking down the sorcerer throughout God knows how many lands all by himself. Top five best character for me
—————
Although we only got a few mentions of them, the shadow warrior was an extremely interesting character based on their name and the arts that we’ve seen. Dude created the arts of healing, telepathy, flying, and invisibility and those were just the ones we saw, there were more. Then there were the things in his temple of forbidden knowledge. Like the dragon feathers, goat talons, snake fingers, and the essence of terror; and those were like a couple things out of an entire temple of his. There was most likely so much more and so much of his findings and studies could’ve done so much more than what was shown in the show. It’s a real shame we never got to see them
—————
Despite all his flaws and that he wasn’t written too well. Randy was a good boy who tried to learn from his mistakes and was willing to even sacrifice himself to save others. I have seen talk about the implications of him having ADHD and if he does have that then it would explain a lot. I just wish he could’ve been developed more
—————
My absolute favorite gem of the show was the Ninja Nomicon. I LOVED that book, my favorite character period. In fact, I’m pretty sure it was almost everyone’s favorite despite having little to no lines and not doing much outside of being a magical book trying to each their student how to be a responsible warrior
I LOVED that it had its own world within. Hats off to whoever thought that. It had its own forests, It’s own skies, it’s own lakes, mountains, waterfalls, it’s own buildings, everything, and yet there’s still writings on them and some of them are drawn out so that it’s obvious that the world in the Nomicon is still within a book.
I could gush about that sentient book for hours and all the thoughts I had about it
(Also Howard’s hatred and rivalry towards it was hilarious. How many people in media develop extreme animosity towards an sentient yet inanimate object?)
thinking about the… potential clawthorne woodcarving mentorship.
+ bonus cuz also thinking abt how if hunter ever met dell’s palisman and got reminded of flapjack, he’d probably feel bad abt making that association cuz he knows what it’s like to be seen only as someone’s different version (even though the bird wouldn’t mind much so lol)
The Willow Project would emit more climate pollution annually than more than 99.7% of all the single point sources in the country. It would be harmful for the natives living there, animals, and the rest of the environment. The video below explains more about it
Below is a letter written by people who live in the area where the project would take place, they talk about the pros and cons of it
If you're against the Willow Project, there's this petition
And this has a pre-written letter that will get sent to Biden, the final decision maker regarding the project, saying you're against the Willow Project
