“imagine not liking feyre” “imagine hating the main character” “imagine reading all the books and still disliking the protagonist” imagine shutting the fuck up. i know you love your little “feyre is a saint who has done no wrong ever” shitblog and you giggle to yourself at night when you post things uplifting feyre and ragging on everyone who ever did anything that slightly inconvenienced her, and i know you’ve probably never read critically for a second in your life, but i hate to break it to you (i don’t hate to do it, i love to do it): people dislike main characters. people read and consume media for other things besides the main character. the protagonist is never EVER perfect, and people are allowed—no, people should be legally bound to criticize the main character. to have a perfect, faultless, flawless protagonist means you don’t know how to write. if you actually think feyre doesn’t deserve criticism or even people who dislike her, well, idk what to tell you except that you’re literally wrong lmao.

the ‘anti feyre’ tag and the ‘anti’ any sjm tag are tags specifically meant for criticism and rants about those characters or sjm’s writing. it’s not an online party where people go to be miserable haters, it’s a space in the fandom where people are free to give their critiques and opinions on things they didn’t like or enjoy so much. it’s actually polite to tag something negative as anti so that it doesn’t make its way onto the dashes of people who don’t want to see that kind of content. this kind of “anti” discourse is found in literally every single fandom. i’m beginning to wonder if you even know what a fandom is. shit-talking the anti tags won’t make them disappear, and they definitely won’t make people stop addressing legitimate issues and giving the negative opinions they’re entitled to have about these incredibly flawed books. your little “imagine hating feyre” post is not the gag you think it is, babe.

Yesterday I read some verses from the Quran talking about how "the blame" is not with those who wish to help but cannot, but with those who CAN help and do not.

Truly I do not care if all you do for Palestine is post in that #free palestine everyday, that is still more than many people with the means to do even more would do.

Also v interesting that nesta needed a redemption arc but Cassian - who killed a village - didn’t need redemption, Rhys - who contributed to Amarantha’s 50 years of tyranny - didn’t, or Feyre - who helped destabilise an entire court on the cusp of war, putting countless innocents at risk - didn’t need redemption either

For folks who haven’t had the stomach to keep up with the specifics of what’s been happening in Palestine (which is understandable and what’s important is that folks keep up with the broad strokes, so no shame), it’s much much much worse than any of us could possibly have imagined.

I’m not going to post the specifics here unless there’s a link to add as an intermediary for folks who don’t want to read those specifics, but it’s Holocaust levels of bad. It’s what we would have seen in Vietnam, Iraq, Germany, etc, if social media was invented a century earlier.

I’ve avoided looking head on at most of the photos but just the descriptions are making me feel really ill.

Also as usual, I am a Jew, and I feel fully confident in the Holocaust comparisons I make. I mean them with all the weight that this carries.

And what’s more is that, like the previous events I’m referencing, people are still goading and mocking posts about dead people including children. It’s just on a global public platform now.
