she never takes off her signature spiked choker or the necklace with a vial of fiance tara's vitae (le sang de l'amour blood sorcery ritual). and she has an enchanted necklace from some fae allies that lets her see glamour and communicate briefly with her estranged fae soul, aelsidhe! she can't wear that one regularly but it never leaves her possession. once she and aelsidhe are reunited she'll give that necklace to tara so she can see del(sidhe)'s fae mien 🍆 - favorite form(s) of affection, physical or otherwise

most people fall within the "if you even think about touching me prepare to meet an agonizing demise" camp, but loved ones have Approved Hugging Privileges. she'll still roll her eyes the whole time, but she's bluffing and they know it.

feeding is a big affection/intimacy thing for her too - she has the unbondable merit and as a thin-blood her vitae isn't potent enough to bond others, so she's doubly immune to blood bonds but still incredibly selective about who she feeds and feeds from: just the coterie, tara, and a few (exactly 2) close friends/allies.

tara has also unlocked secret bonus displays of affection, including del's love for being little spoon, having her hair played with, and pet names

the murder of her mortal sister by her sire, and not one but two (2) of bestie mitra's exes abusing him via the blood bond. to be fair though, there's very little she considers forgivable. girl's a licensed certified card-carrying professional grudge-holder

🍹- a funny anecdote on completely separate occasions three different malkavians, including known ancient baali methuselah petaniqua, have been like "hey girl i know this is rich coming from me, but are you aware that you're insane." and they're right

high council of vtm blogs who follow me: i need your help for Reasons i am cooking a new vampire in my brain, and now i have not one, but four ideas and i need help picking a guy.

any feedback or commentary is allowed, but if you have a fav, feel free to vote for them under the cut <3

1 - tzimisce. presumed to be a gangrel and thus fits into nightlife semi-normally, who's gonna notice they're slightly… off… right? runs an airbnb with a 'forbidden' basement, which also serves as their haven. idk, i've not gotten much further than 'haha tzimisce except everyone thinks it's a gangrel because bOY do i love vampires posing as a different clan u feel?

2 - hecata. this is very much built around the clan compulsion. they were a true crime youtuber before their embrace, and one day just stopped uploading videos. their fanbase is split - most think they just stopped enjoying youtube, but there are two camps who either A) think they were murdered or B) faked their own death. regardless, both these camps discuss the case on reddit and turn molehills into mountains - grasping at straws in an attempt to solve the case. the hecata themself is unsure of what happened to them, the memories are fuzzy, and sometimes they think they remember and actively get on the message boards under a fake account in an attempt to solve their own death also

3 - ministry. basically gossip girl. used to run a blog in high school where they'd spread creative rumours about people, and when they were embraced, they fell right back into that. their sire indicated that most vampires don't take too kindly to the internet, though, so instead they every so often go on rumour runs, where they deliver handwritten notes to high ranking vampires with either rumours about other vampires, or thinly veiled threats along the lines of 'i know what you did to [blank] a few nights back :D'

4 - caitiff. by all means, they should have been a nosferatu. they were embraced by a nosferatu after successfully hacking into personal records database to get around having to formally change their gender marker and name on their records. something went wrong, though, and the clan curse didn't fully take, which now leaves them without a home or a family to get back to. are police now after them for hacking the government? it's more likely than you think, but hey, it's not like they lived to tell the tale :3

🎂: Has your OC have any contradictory interests or traits to the first perception people have of the? How do they surprise people? From a kindred's POV: Mark tries to appear a bit aloof and a bit caustic, but he's a softie really. Also, he previously had a reputation of having a powerful sire who put him where he was, which is true... but his sire is dead now and he's letting that assumption be continued on purpose! He is actually really vulnerable now.

Also, he's way better at blood sorcery than most his age. Also, he tries to make himself seem older than he is, and normally succeeds. Most would guess he's a young neonate, but he's really not even a year dead yet...

He also does downplay how much he still cares about kine history.

From a kine's POV: Yea the nondescript professor being a blood sorcery def would cause some cognitive dissonance! Lol 🍪: What is something that's sentimental to you OC? His copy of Caesar's Conquest of Gaul he got from his thesis advisor Dr. Armatto! He's read that book so many times :) 🌽: How does this OC feel about acts of affection? What's their favourite act of affection, physical or emotional?

He def likes affection of all types but he's normally only comfortable getting it from a romantic partner. Emotional intimacy, which he normally only does with a romantic partner first, then physical. JP has now broken that barrier (due to mandatory vulnerability to escape their sire) and Mark would be okay from hugs from him, but JP himself isn't that type of person lol.

Favorites include holding hands, certain petnames, and inside jokes. He looooves inside jokes.

Ventrue wedding that needed a toreador wedding planning and ended up costing close to 4.7 million dollars

Nosferatu wedding that is a very private but intimate affair where all of the grooms clan members where there but stayed invisible cause it's supposed to be intimate just for the two partners

dogcoded characters where they're loyal because everything else has been taken from them and they're desperately clinging onto any sense of purpose or meaning they can grasp. dogcoded because they're willingly made into a pet doing tricks for the ones that own them and they're aware of it all and embrace it. dogcoded where they could be sent to the shelter at any time but feels like they never will, because they're a big strong dog who attacks just right, hurts the right people, and doesn't recoil when they're pet or punished. dogcoded where they obey because if they don't the world is dark and cold and empty. dogcoded where they're trained to move on command, to sniff out downfalls and cracks in strength and manipulate them with their nails, all for the ones they heel to. when will i stop talking
