So we all know that Tumblr is US-centric. But to what degree? (and can we skew the results of this poll by posting it at a time where they should be asleep?)
Reblog to increase sample size!

Texas zoo hatches brood of rare, ghostlike crayfish species
The hatchlings also mark the second-ever breeding of a blind, white, and 'cave-adapted' crayfish.
Another Texas zoo is celebrating a historic milestone in the restoration of a critically endangered species. This week, the San Antonio Zoo announced the births of 47 Oklahoma Cave Crayfish (Cambarus tartarus). Born at the zoo's Center for Conservation and Research (CCR), the crayfish are the first-ever to be hatched under the care of humans.

Known as one of the rarest crayfish species in North America, the Oklahoma Cave Crayfish is no more than three inches in length, with a white or colorless appearance, according to the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation. The crayfish, which have no external eyes, thin pinchers and legs, are most at risk from groundwater pollution. Direct disturbance of their caves, which are limited to a single county in northeast Oklahoma, is also a critical threat. The state has listed the species as "state endangered." However, the species is undergoing review for possible inclusion on the endangered species list by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service...

I do not usually make posts like this but recently I have seen a lot of content on Instagram, Twitter and I think tiktok too misunderstanding the meaning of intrusive thoughts, which may cause people experiencing them to be upset.
I have tried to shortly explain the difference of impulsive and intrusive and hope it will help people to understand and use the words correctly.
Reblogs are very much appreciated!

Hey, amidst the chaos of... everything on the internet, pay attention to Hawaii/Hawai'i!
There have been plans from a non Hawaiian organisation to build a 5 acre parking lot, 13 lot subdivision and a comfort station for tourists on the ridge of the sacred Pololū Valley!
This project doesn't acknowledge Pololū Valley as a wahi pāna (a celebrated and storied place in the cultural traditions of Hawaii/Hawai'i) and instead treats it as just plain land that can be sold to a highest bidder.
Pololū Valley is anything but that.
So please sign the petition to stop this project! As of writing this, 883,470 people have, but we need more!
Petition to protect Pololū Valley
Reblog to reach more people, please! Don't just like and move on, sign the petition and make sure more people see this!

I know this has been said before, and y'all aren't gonna listen to me when I say it, but you can't be bigoted to bad people. Like you don't get to call Marjorie Taylor Green an NRA whore, or misgender Caitlyn Jenner, or be antisemitic to Ben Shapiro. It doesn't work like that. Not being called slurs is not something people earn by being a good person, it's something you do because YOU are a good person. And if I'm being honest, it shouldn't be that hard for you to do. You shouldn't want to say these things to ANYBODY, even if they are the devil incarnate.

admins' comment: we normally never ever add our own opinions onto polls submitted to us (keeping our personal thoughts out of polls is our number one rule), but we believe this is an important matter that needs to be talked about more; pit bulls are NOT an aggressive dog breed in any way. we have our own experiences with pit bulls, and we can personally guarantee that all of them are the most gentle, loving souls we've ever had an honor of spending our time with.
most pit bull attacks — just like any other animal attack casts — happen because the pit bull was 1.) abused, 2.) threatened, 3.) provoked, 4.) trained to be aggressive (aka abused) and so they believed they had to defend themself. unfortunately, due to their strength, their attack may be fatal, which leads to this harmful, out-of-reality stereotype that pit bulls are an aggressive dog breed, which then also leads to so many tragic casts of them being wrongfully and unfairly put down. it is heartbreaking and frustrating because most of pit bull attacks are human's fault, not the dog's; you (general you) abused a dog, you made them believe you were a threat and therefore you made them defend themself.
there is no bad, aggressive dogs. but there are bad and abusive people out there.
last but not least, pit bulls are one of the sweetest, most gentle dog breeds that are so gravely misunderstood. please, don't let the stereotype cloud your judgment. respect animals, and they will respect you.
*this poll was submitted to us and we simply posted it so people could vote and discuss their opinions on the matter. if you’d like for us to ask the internet a question for you, feel free to drop the poll of your choice in our inbox and we’ll post them anonymously (for more info, please check our pinned post)

Dolly Parton has come to do a show in my town. We couldn't afford tickets, so me and my mom sold my stepdad so we could go.
It turned out that we sold him to Dolly Parton, she made him sing with her and then she gave him back.
