How are the Watcher guys going to make an apology video and not address

1. Steven supports a bigoted Evangelical church and admitted on a past podcast that he’s okay with being friends with bigots. Literally silence on this and they need to address it!

2. And they’re not using their own streaming platform like they said, they’re using Vimeo. Which is why people are having trouble password sharing since it limits multiple devices.

Idk I’m having a hard time going back to supporting them when they’re still hiding stuff despite the apology. I also don’t want to support a guy who goes to an Evangelist church.

Is all of this ONLY suitable to be taken into consideration WHEN they're in controversy?

You know, the whole "They're an indie company, they're not THAT rich!!! So the "eat the rich!!!" Stuff cannot apply to them" Shit I keep seeing a lot of you yap about...Okay, Sure, let's talk about that.

They are an indie company, yes, they aren't as rich as say, Musk or Bezos, sure..But they're still extremely rich, far richer than you or me, or half the population. Most of us have never seen this much money or wealth in our entire lives and never will. One of the crew owns a fucking Tesla and his only personality trait is how rich he is, and how he brags about it and eats rich food. The other two are living it up in LA, making 100ks off ads, merch, patrons, etc. Not to mention the insanely fancy weddings they held, not to mention the fact they are classist and oblivious to the cost of living crisis happening across the globe, where "everyone can afford it!! it isnt THAT much!!!! You spend six dollars on OTHER stuff so!!!" is the most tone deaf, rich asshole take I've heard in a long while.

So yeah. Sure. Indie company. But you all kissing their asses under the guise of it being an indie company still makes you a bootlicker. You're still defending people that are WAY richer than any human needs to be in a world full of poverty and starving. Them being indie doesn't give them a free pass to guilt trip struggling people. Them being indie doesn't give them an excuse to be classist. Them being indie doesn't give them a free pass for any of this, and if you think it does, consider seeking help for your struggles with defending the rich and parasocial relationships with said rich.

They are rich and actively playing off as if they're broke and struggling. That is not fucking okay or acceptable. It is an insult to us artists WHO ACTUALLY ARE STRUGGLING.

I am all for supporting artists, especially small and struggling ones, but these people do NOT fit the bill.

genuinely cannot imagine dickriding the watcher guys the way some of you have been. like they made a bad business decision! they alienated their audience! they made jokes about "eating the rich" and then one of their owners turned around and bought a tesla! they said they'd pull all their old content off youtube and then immediately backpedaled and started gaslighting the people who noticed it! they're just guys on the internet, they're not your friends and they are not anti-capitalists. they just want money and they don't care about their primarily young/international/non-wealthy audience.
