So. If you want to talk about “Scott & Bailey” with smb, I’m always here. I've been a fan of this show for ten months now, and I still don't have anyone to discuss it with. It’s a pain.

Warning: I’m not a native speaker, so all this might be difficult sometimes, but I’ll try. And!! I have a lot of hcs and even fics (and one procedural for 20,8k words). Many stupid memes in russian, SO that’s a hell of a bird I don’t know. Anyway. I’m dying. Send help. (another warning: I’m a really big fan of Gill, so it may occur that there will be many many many info dump)

I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:

IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.

1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.

2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.

3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”

4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”

5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.

TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.

Reblog this to keep other users aware. Suicide isn’t a joke, and neither is someone’s life. If you didn’t know this, someone else may not, either. Pass it on.

Margaret Hamilton (b. 1936) is a computer scientist and engineer who, as Director of the Software Engineering Division of the MIT Instrumentation Laboratory, played an important part in the Apollo space programme. Her division was responsible for developing the onboard flight software for the missions that put the first men on the Moon, and she was the supervisor and lead programmer of the project.

She graduated with a degree in abstract mathematics, during a time when computer science and software engineering were not yet disciplines in their own right. She worked for the SAGE Project, used by the military in aircraft defense. Since 1986 she has been the CEO of Hamilton Technologies, an organization which she founded.

Scott & Bailey 4x08 - series finale

I needed to find some time to watch the episode and I did it. I watched it. And it was FUCKING FANTASTIC! 

I’m very scared this was the final series. It all ended up in a way that doesn’t leave much for a possible fifth series. 

Janet and Rachel have finally taken back their lives, in different ways.

Janet is a fucking badass officer and she’s always been great at her job and never been gratified enough for that. I’m really happy for her, she wants to go on with her job doing what she is fantastic at doing, and also with her personal life (Chris! yeahhh!).

Rachel has become really aware of how good she is at her job. Now she’s a great sergeant, and Gill IS SO PROUD OF HER *cries because of the absolute cuteness of all this*

Gill. Gill, Gill, Gill. Can’t imagine Syndacate 9 without her as DCI. If she can’t be in there, a new series is unimaginable. She could have been a secondary character, and that maybe has been true for the first 5 minutes of series one, episode one, but she clearly isn’t. It’s very sad seeing her going away but it’s what she wanted, so…as long as Gill is happy I’m happy and happily crying for her :’)

And she is FUCKING BISEXUAL! “DOESN’T HAVE TO BE A MAN”! “OH JULIE DODSON THE THINGS THAT I COULD TELL ABOUT YOU”! oh my god! that was maybe the BEST part of all the series!!

It was very hard seeing Gill in a desperate mood during all the episode, but the important thing is that she recovered very well at the end of it. So many feelings. And Amelia Bullmore IS A FUCKING MAGNIFICENT WRITER.

This was maybe the best conclusion they could give to this series 4, or (hopefully not) to the series in general. If there won’t be a fifth series, at least we have been satisfied with a worthy conclusion. 

Praying and praying and desperately hoping for a fifth series now I’m going to happily cry for the rest of the evening :’)

The Demon of Tears

“You are dead”, Lumis whispers.

Revan is dead. His face is white, cold, bruised and withered, traces of dried blood still at his mouth, in his beard.

“I know”, Revan says and smiles. His fingers are cold, charred. “Does it matter?”

It doesn’t. It pains him, it seeds the wish to scream deep in his chest, it makes him suffocate, but it is better than nothing. It is better than the lifeless metal of the mask.

“I’m sorry,” Lumis’ throat is tight.

“Does it change anything?”

Lumis stutters, loses whole syllables, chokes the sounds.

“Could it… could it be different? If I was faster? If… if I got there in time?”

“I will never have the chance to find out,” Revan shrugs, and it stings him deep. “You were too slow.”

It’s his fault.

“Yes,” Revan whispers with his dead lips. “It is.”

Lumis wakes up screaming.
