She couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. If this was all she was asking for as compensation, Ruolan had nothing to worry about - she’d done far more for much smaller offenses, and not even for superiors that she was particularly fond of.

“Believe me, none of that’s gonna be a problem. I think you’ll find me a very stable bench if it comes to that, my lady,” she said. “But that wine is gonna be top-shelf either way, I promise you. So, uh…What do you say we put this mess behind us and find you that bottle?”

“We will see... The one that fate decided that was the one for me might be dead, so there is that too.” Death wasn’t unusual in these times after all, and people rarely got with the one the red thread of fate wanted them to be with. It never happened to her parents, nor her grandparents.

She put down her own stack of papers, and softly nodded in agreement to her Aunts suggestion. “I am fine with that.”

I do believe you will find your one and only..” Perhaps she should change the subject now, maybe that would be best. “W-We may change the subject if you wish…” A strong woman such as Ning would probably never believe her words. 

Placing the stack of papers in one neat pile, she smiled a little, than glanced back at her niece. “If you wish, we may take a walk?”
