Our first move/ability related post! Drought is a rather rare pokemon ability that causes the sunlight to seemingly get harsher by an extreme factor. Different pokemon manage this feat in different ways.
For today's example, let's look at the most well known, most powerful user of drought: Groudon.
Groudon is a legendary pokemon, meaning it is both extremely rare and devastatingly powerful. Groudon, like many other ground types, has a sort of psychic control over minerals. However, its power is so immense that it creates a sort of energy field around itself (similar to a magnetic field) which causes microparticles of earth to float around it. This creates a near invisible field of crystalline dust that effectively acts as a giant lens, focusing the sun's power and essentially cooking everything around Groudon. Water evaporates, smaller plants wither, and in some cases, weaker pokemon collapse from the heat.
There's a reason people used to worship them as gods, after all.

Although wailmer are far smaller and stouter than an adult wailord, the underlying skeletal structures are still the same

Pokemon cave "fault line" chocolate cake topped with some batty cake pops! 🦇 Zubat may have the highest encounter rate here, but there are some other cave-dwelling Pokemon you might find hiding around 🔍
Inspired by all the cool fault line cakes I've seen on my feed 💎 I couldn't stop thinking how much the edges looked like a cave and had to try making a Pokemon version 😆
Layers of chocolate cake and rich chocolate mousse inside, slathered with chocolate ganache frosting.

Aggron has a thin layer of a unique strengthened keratin on the entirety of its body. Underneath the black sections, there is organic tissue, while underneath the white, any ores the aggron has eaten have built up a metal shell. After the death of the individual, the keratin weakens and can be removed. Doing so reveals the metals beneath, and this can often be used to tell where it spent the majority of its life. Its teeth, however, are always coated in steel to facilitate its eating habits.
Cleaned, polished aggron skulls have been a sought after treasure for centuries, and for a few years researchers were worried that poachers would threaten wild populations. However, it turns out that aggron are not only practically invulnerable to physical damage, but they seem to be able to sniff out poisons in their food and water. The easiest way to obtain one of these sparkling craniums is to find an aggron that has died of old age (which is not easy, as they have similar life expectancies to humans).
Records of aggron parts being used as helmets and armor have been found up to as recently as 70 years ago.
