i wish that people were more accepting of the fact that not everyone's "core being" or whatever you want to call it will line up perfectly with a label. some people use labels that match their feelings 100% some will use labels that mostly of kind of fit. some will use a label but only to get people to stop asking about it. some use no labels. etc. labels are just tools that we use to describe our unique + indescribable experiences and feelings, and they tend to work pretty well, but it isn't 100% effective. this is what it means to not sort people into boxes

unkind at best to make fun of people for not doing social activities in real life and not hitting what you would consider "social milestones" but kind of extra shitty when you think about how much of this sites population is young and/or disabled like. there has been a pandemic for the last 4 years

I think that the real essence of a 'trans' story isn't actually about gender at all, so much as it's about going through a transition from one state where you're miserable and unhappy and wish for death or feel like you're already dead to another radically different state where...you're content. You're just content. You had something chronically wrong with you, like a painful screeching that just becomes the background noise of your existence and then...it's gone. You are, in some ineffable cosmic sense, where you belong.

sorry but i simply cannot take anyone seriously with this argument. being horny is not a crime. acting inappropriately toward another person is a different thing from simply perceiving them in a way that scratches your brain. but you cannot make sexual thought crimes (thot crimes) a thing without it leading down an EXTREMELY homophobic, transphobic path of "the WRONG type of person PERCEIVED ME and I DID NOT CONSENT TO IT." sometimes you will be perceived by people you personally are not attracted to, and i'm sorry, but that alone is not a problem. you do not need consent to find another person attractive. being horny is fine, actually. get over it.

One of the funniest failures of US school system is the fact they are legally obligated to teach us all the states but they never actually show how big Alaska is like I have actually had teachers tell me that Texas is the biggest state. We have all just convinced ourselves that Alaska is that small shrunken down thing on most US maps and the people that know it's the largest state can almost never accurately describe how large it is.

#i lived in denali np for 5 months and it never stops being just. insanely big. you dont get used to it. #the tundra stretches on forever the mountains are insane. denali herself is so big she generates her own weather patterns. #the sun never set for most of my time there and then all of a sudden it was SO DARK at night. endlessly dark.
