"Tanizaki-san~!"

Oh no, oh Jesus, oh no, sweet mercy, he's so fucked-

Tanizaki sprinted across the hallway of the office, Light Snow active to keep him hidden as Kenji skipped through the hall, looking carefully for him as he went.

He did not mean to goad the little farmer into that kind of playful mood, they were just being silly and talking about stuff and-ugh! He shouldn't have said that! Ooooh boy, he's so dead, sooooo so dead.

Tanizaki sped into the office, head whipping about for a place to hide. Maybe under his desk?? Or Kunikida's, definitely not Dazai's, uuuuuh-

"Tanizaki-kun! What're you doing with Light Snow over here?" Tanizaki practically jumped out of his skin when he felt a bandaged hand tap his shoulder, almost immediately dispelling his ability.

OH FUCK OH NO OH SHIT, HE'S DONE FOR-

"Dazai-kun! Uh, look, I-"

"There you are!!!"

Letting out a bloodcurdling scream was the only thing Tanizaki could do before Kenji jumped him, Dazai jolting away from the two as they toppled on the ground.

"Kenji-wait! Wait please, you can't!" Tanizaki pleaded in a fenzy, flailing his arms as violently as he could muster. Which wasn't much, really, he wouldn't dare hurt Kenji even if it never left a scratch on the young boy.

But nope, Kenji wasn't listening, 'cause he was already wiggling his fingers and Tanizaki has lost all previous thought, batting at Kenji's hands in hopes he'll let up.

(It's not nearly as hard as he'd hit when he really wanted it to stop, but nobody's going to say anything about that.)

"Kenji! Kenji pleEAHAHAHAHA-" OF COURSE HE GOES RIGHT FOR THE SWEET SPOT!!!

Tanizaki's screeched with laughter as Kenji dug into his ribs, wiggling his evil fingers as Tanizaki squirmed and thrashed, completely unprepared to be ambushed like that.

Distantly, he heard the flash of a camera and a signature giggle, and if he could Tanizaki absolutely would have flipped Dazai the bird for his blackmail gathering ways. But he was too busy laughing up a gut to do anything.

"Come on, quit being so stubborn and admit it! I'm only doing this cause you won't tell me what you were going to say!!" Kenji grinned, all innocent as if he weren't tickling the biggest squirmer of the century to absolute hell and back.

Fingers uncoordinated, from ribs to thighs, to collarbone and then sides, Tanizaki couldn't predict what he'd do next, and it was completely messing with his thoughts.

"NAHAHAHAHAHA KEHEHENJIHIHIHIHIHI!!!!" He didn't wanna say it! He was being playful sure, but the moment he wouldn't tell Kenji that one thing...

"If you don't tell me, Imma get your feet~!"

Fuck, no, goddamnit.

"FIHIHIHIHIHINE JUST STAHAHAP!!!" Kenji's smile widened as he slowed down his torture, allowing the Tanizaki brother to catch some air and calm himself down.

"Sooo? What were you going to say?" Kenji asked, to which Tanizaki let out a defeated whine and finally, finally admited to it.

"Alrihihight! I was gonna say that-that I've hahahad a crush on like, everyone at least once before. Excehept like, you and Kyouka." Kenji's face practically brightened as he hopped off of Tanizaki, to the other's undying relief.

"Ohohoho~? A crush on everybody?"

Fuck. He forgot he was in the office.

And lunch break passed like, an hour ago.

Today is just one of those days where I laugh at anything that comes my way

physical affection is a gift

in many ways it’s a form of love, comfort, companionship, and a show of heart

to some it’s an afterthought

and in others

it’s what they crave and seek

whether platonic or romantic, physical affection is something I measure love by, both in the amounts that I give and the amounts that I receive

and it’s very hard for me to seperate that affection from love and compassion

in many ways, the touch of another conveys so much more than words ever can

when words do not reach my ears or touch my heart, a hug, an embrace, holding hands, laying on someone’s shoulder

those all keep me at bay

hold me at peace

it’s something I will always cherish and something I will always yearn for
