This is probably the strongest moment I’ve ever fully resonated with Bang. Incredible fortitude and enduring faith in his boy here. <3

An important distinction: in all of Garou’s already low self-esteem, and shattered self-image and sense of self-worth (deliberately warped to the extremes under god’s influence), he sees himself entirely as ‘absolute evil’ now; referring to himself as an ‘IT’. Who’s no longer even a person anymore, unfit to ever deserve or need anyone’s understanding, because all he’s ‘good’ for is spreading them misery. :’) So it’s better for even Tareo’s sake that Garou vows to keep his distance. Meaning: Garou has not dehumanized others, he’s internalized (and made to think this way especially after all his trauma) dehumanizing himself.

The second distinction: Garou actually took no step to physically approach Bang here. He literally just stood there, spiraling in distant introspective thought, until Genos took initiative to make the first move for him.

I just read the latest OPM chapter and i just...i am out of words...Garou doesn't deserves this none of them deserves this 😭😭😭😭😭😭 HE IS NOT EVEN FULLY HIMSELF WTF PLEASE DON'T DO THIS TO HIM, he fought so hard and even thought we know his plan is bound to fail this is just too cruel 😭. At least in the WC he is fully himself and he is still in control of his action (so he doesn't break his own moral code) and most importantly HE DIDN'T HURT TAREO, he still have reasons to back up even after his defeat. But this, i really don't see how he'll bounce back from this, alive or not 😭😭😭

Well he (or likely even the corruption warping his beliefs/perceptions of reality against him) rationalizes it all away as something 'absolute evil' like him doesn't need, especially when he interprets he's only 'good' for spreading misery just by his very presence - who's not even worth others' understanding of him even, and where he basically vows to keep his distance from Tareo, for his sake even, because 'that's how it should be.'

For Tareo's sake? When UUuuughuGHH omg he doesn'tknowheDOESN'TKNOWWW!!!! Garou doesn't know that Tareo is already DOWN and hurt over there in the collateral radiation because of him! DDD8 (when the 'weak' Garou's previously sworn to protect like children, are the first to get caught in his unknowing wake.....)

It's soooooo fucked up because how the hell could Garou have even known that!? God's using him to destroy all life this way, when the lingering semblance of Garou's sense of reason, who's still in there somewhere, still thinks there will even BE any humanity left to evolve into the better after this, and who would rather (miraculously) keep his distance from Tareo than ever get him involved with this or him. Like holy shit? in some of the biggest and alarming dramatic irony ever: fuckfuckfuckkkk he doesn't knowwww. ;A;

So exactly, how on earth can this ever serve towards Garou realizing he can be the type of hero he's always denied himself?! Once he ever realizes what he's actually been made to do! (It would completely break him. If Garou doesn't just collapse in suicidal despair once he finally knows....where else can Garou ever find hope, faith, or motivation in himself to continue after this!? What IF Tareo's already gone!? D8) Unless of course Garou survives to rage against the very 'god' who forced him into this doomed scenario...

You just KNOW that *God's* actions is going to be used in the baddest of bad faith ways to condemn Garou's character even more by, ah... a select number of people in the community, completely disregarding the panels of Blast and Bang recognising Garou is being controlled by forces beyond his understanding :/

Hhhhhhh 😩 considering how unbearably hell it's been in that department (esp on reddit), I don't even have to search around to know people are already raising their pitchforks in reactive witch hunt outrage against Garou......without seeing the full picture or understanding the full gravity of the cruelty he's been unfairly subjected to either. Once again, this is tragic. Garou never deserved this (as the inherently good guy forcibly corrupted, now permanently condemned in canon and by those readers - so much undeserved meta suffering); Genos never deserved this (to be tossed away in sacrifice, and if he can ever recover from this too); the whole cast never deserved to suffer from any of this either. Just aaaaa, ONE where are you planning to go from this??

-he possesses practicality and knowledge in many things so it didn’t come across as a shock that he’s able to help out so efficiently

-herbal teas and remedies, soups, broths, you name it, he’ll make sure you get anything you’re in need of

-most often makes them himself too

-is there for you any part of the day and if you don’t already live together he’ll visit you and bring you things to feel better

-when ill he often felt the need to be left alone so he understands completely if you need the same though

-if you’re low on energy he’ll pay extra attention to reminding you to rest up and not strain yourself with any activities

-would help out with any chores and tasks you have! And don’t even try to get out of that bed to do some cleaning or an assignment of some sort because he will legit pick you up and put you back to your initial spot. And tuck you in.

-often can’t help but plant kisses on your forehead whenever he’s nearby

-offers to watch movies together and read if you’re in the mood or just bored

- sometimes you must remind him to be careful not to get sick too but he doesn’t care much; making you smile is worth it all

-or he’ll just make one himself

-in the mood for something light? You won’t be left unsatisfied with the wide array of nourishing stews and soups offered to you

-isn’t annoying in the least though, always asks gently for whatever you wish

-and if you need space or you just don’t have the energy to talk, he’ll leave you be (but still makes sure he’s close by)

-reminds you to rest as much as you can

-if you’re having trouble relaxing he’d be happy to lay beside you and gently run his fingers through your hair to help soothe you

-brings you flowers every day. And if you’re down and need some cheering up he’ll even use his stand to create an endearing little bird to sing to you

-in general if you’re in the mood for cuddling some animals you can always count on him

-kisses your hand whenever he’s about to leave, and never forgets to say something sweet in his native language while he’s at it too
