LAST POST.

Hello, for the last time.

I came back early from vacation due to unforeseen circumstances that I'm not going to talk about on here.

So, Allstar Weekend had their last show a few days ago. It's all a bit surreal that all of this is really coming to an end. And it's going to be hard to put into words how great these past 3+ years with the band have been, but I'll try.

I think the best way to go about this is to tell a little bit of the story of the journey I've had with this band. I first heard of them back in December 2008, when they were still ALLSTAR, and they had their single Journey To The End Of My Life. That song is still one of my all time favorites to this day. It's just something I can relate to so much. Though, it wasn't until late 2009 I decided to look them up again and figured out they were Allstar Weekend and I found Chicken Finger Fingers though I didn't listen to it much, and so it wasn't until March 2010 that I actually became a fan. I saw ADSOM on Disney Channel and it said Allstar Weekend, and I was like ....wait, I know them. I went on to watch their Youtube videos and found more songs, and from then, there was no turning back.

A huge part of my attachment to this band is the people in it, or have been in it. Zach, Cameron, Michael, Nathan, Dillon, Brent, even Tom, Ben and Eric. Watching videos of them and live chats, it gave me a new way to think and gave me courage to tell myself that it's okay to be yourself. And I saw so much of Zach in myself; I've always felt the biggest connection to him. They all made me realize I wasn't so alone.

The music has always been an important part of loving this band. It's what made me interested to learn more about them in the first place. I have loved being on this journey of Adub music evolution. I have loved every change between albums. I love how the music, and lyrics, have matured as the guys have. It feels like we were all growing up together, and that's why I think I have such a strong connection to this band.

And now that I have to think about it, I am so sad that my favorite band is ending. And I know the boys will continue to make music, and even though I have a very strong feeling I will love their new music, it won't be the same. And that's scary.

It's been so amazing to have been able to be on this journey with Adub since their first Hollywood Records release until now where they have left HR and now ending the band. Looking back to who I was and who they were those 3 and half years ago, we were all so different. It's not that they changed my life; they have impacted it. And I am so grateful to have been part of this journey, and so grateful that they found a way into my life. I've been able to see them a total of 8 times, and have enjoyed every minute I've spent with them. I could never put into words how much this band has meant to me.

This blog is over now (though it won't be deleted, it will just sit here as it is), and I will not be starting a new one for the new band. You can find my personal blog here.

I don't want to post anything (more) about the new band on this Tumblr, due to Allstar Weekend's Facebook post from Sunday. (Although I wasn't planning on it anyway). Since hearing their leaked single, I'm pretty sure you'll see me around that fandom.

EDIT: I can't believe I forgot to say one of the most important things: THANK YOU. For following me, for giving me a reason to keep going with this blog, for putting up with me. This blog would have been nothing without all of you. I love you all so much, and I could never thank you enough. (edit over.)

Blog Update

I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow morning (very early morning). I will be gone for 2 and a half weeks, and will not be posting anything, except what is already set up in the queue.

When I get back I won't be posting much, probably just a couple posts, and then a goodbye post.
