New World Headquarters for the Research Commission, Formation of The Hunter’s Guild: The Settlement of Astera or The Settlement of Astera or Astera (Monster Hunter: World) made by hand primarily from paper (also floral wire, toothpicks, epoxy resin) 28” x 20” diameter

My largest miniature yet and certainly the most densely constructed. This piece took me 5 months, chipped through well over 1k blades, 4 pads of bristol paper, countless sheets of cardstock, 3 bottles of glue, 48 LEDs, and a liter of clear cast resin. For scale photo scroll all the way down!

Hello! Please do tell me about Cobalt, if you can! You've caught my interest.

Hi! I would love to talk about my little beepo! Thank you for showing interest in him :]. I’ll just give you the basics so I don’t write an entire essay but I have a feeling it’s going to happen anyway. Cobolt is a sort of AU/OC Metal Sonic. To make a long story super short, Robotnik neglects his kid (classic Metal Sonic), who gets adopted by Sonic and friends. He was replaced by modern Metal Sonic and is obsessed with proving he is the better Metal Sonic and getting revenge on Eggman

Cobolt is docile, curious, and extremely loyal by nature. All that hatred toward Sonic got redirected toward his former master and Metal Sonic. He got some hardware upgrades in order to keep up with his rival but also so that it is easier for him to get his feelings across through facial expressions and body language. He does have the ability to speak but prefers not to if he can. Even if he is a good guy now, Cobolt is still a Metal Sonic. He tends to go overboard when in combat and acts like a feral beast at times as well as having bad habits he developed with Robotnik as his master. Sonic’s friends treat him way better than Robotnik ever did so he’s getting better about those things.

It makes me so happy that I get to talk about Cobolt and this made my day :] thank you again for the interest ( also sorry about formatting, I’m on mobile)
