Mary Rushton founded The Rushton Company in 1917 in Atlanta, Georgia. Her daughter Wight Rushton designed many of the company’s products.
Rushton toys were made of high quality rayon & plush material, stuffed with top grade cotton, hand embroidered noses, felt tongues and often, satin bows. Most had painted rubber faces.
Rushton made several varieties of “Star Creation” bunny rabbits, which it is often known for. Rushton plushies came in a rainbow of colors, each with expressions ranging from joy to mischievous to sadness.
The company ceased operations in 1983, and its most collectible toys range from the 50’s to the 70’s.
Benitta Neiendam posted on the g2 collectors facebook page about an AMAZING lot she got her hands on! It contains lots of g2 prototypes and even ponies who were never produced! In the second picture you can see a g2 with a perfume flask symbol, a pony which has never been seen before! In the first picture you can also see a purple pony with a teapot symbol, also never produced (Benitta promises proper closeup pictures with white backgrounds soon of all the ponies!).
In addition there were display prototypes of twin baby sets (the shiny ones, they have glue under their hooves) including a white baby pair that were never produced! There’s also a pink baby with a dice symbol that was also never produced. In addition, there are several baby ponies produced from the prototypes design that don’t match their final designs! You can see lots of the baby ponies have one twin with a different symbol, while the final sets had both baby ponies have the same symbol. They also have the same hair colors, while in the final sets each twin has a different hair color (and often body color) than the other. I am in love with the Wiggles/giggles twin with the moon wand symbol and all pink hair!
There’s also a Drifter/Dreamer twin in an entirely new pose! One of the Giggles/Wiggles twins in the bag may also be in a different pose, it’s hard to tell.
I am EXTREMELY excited to see Benittas proper pictures when she gets to them, because this is amazing!
this goes out to all of the young people getting involved in communities like furblr, plushblr, and other stuff that involves spending significant amounts of money.
people who follow me or have seen my posts around likely already know that im a huge enthusiast of being careful with how much you spend on furbys in particular, and how you shouldnt allow price gougers to get away with their scams. but i think theres a serious danger that comes with being involved in these communities when youre currently living with your parents or in a similar situation.
we talk a lot in media about addiction to things such as drugs, tobacco, etc, but one that we dont address often is addiction to spending money. i can attest to the immediate rush of excitement and happiness i get from buying something i want, and especially as someone who has a family history of addiction, as well as a mental tendency towards it, trust me when i say that this is how addiction starts.
when youre not the one paying for your basic needs, money can easily not feel as real as it is. this means that youre more likely to develop an addiction, and warnings about overpriced scams can feel dumb. if its something i really want, why not get it now? ive been there, trust me!
but please also trust me when i say that this is dangerous. addictions are hard to shift, and if you dont watch it now, you could end up struggling later.
furbys are a huge special interest of mine, and they bring me a great deal of joy, but addiction is no joke. no number of endorphin rushes are worth the way that this could affect later life.
I just got the adorable tiger above open for customization like the others pictured, but if you’d want a different plush click here to receive a custom order, otherwise dm me for the tiger or any inquiries!! <3

this could be an error in the actual circuitboard, or potentially a faulty wire connection, from my understanding of it! id suggest doing a checkup of all that you can see on the shucked mech, searching for damage to any areas. however, its likely that this is just how he is- if you like you can swap his mech with that of another furby that works!! best of luck :0)
