NY genuinely loves animals, way more than he likes people (can you blame him?). Especially the ones that others cast aside or ignore; he’s a sucker for them.

This is the first drawing I’ve done of NY where I actually feel like I captured how he looks in my head. 🗽 Chronically tired and overworked, but still shows up in hopes of witnessing some juicy drama.

I've drawn Austin but that was way way way long ago and I do not have a design for him yet!! So i'm thinking to working on them, This one's Miami ofc, the fedora doesn't lie, flirtatious nitwit that I can't stand 😡(lying). Don't ask me how Florida knows what mitosis is, I wouldn't know. A quick lil Illinois design concept 🤔uhm. Idk i'm surprisingly too lazy to explain my thoughts behind this, it's mostly just a jumble of baseball, mid to late 1900s kinda vibes I get from him, other select things. I read @forever-a-lake-effect-kid ‘s fic about Maine and his history behind how he became a state and I really enjoyed it 😌 I loved the facts and research put into it!! So I drew a little inspiration from it! I love it when characters are analyzed and I find Maine to be an interesting one since unlike most of the northeast, Maine hadn’t gotten first hand experience with battles and anything past that, but rather he’d dealt with the second hand trauma(?) from it, apart to how the NE themselves dealt with things first hand 🤔

(Tho ofc mine may be a little less historically accurate cuz I don’t know lower 48 history as much as I do Alaskan history)

It does include the fact Flo got the most people in the US struck by lightning as well 😌 also Louie gets a smooshc cuz why not

Hartford is intrigued by tall woman… (Sitka is just this way because biggest city by area) (and Sitka spruce trees) I also imagine Hartford to actually be hard of hearing 🤔 this is because Hartford is where the first deaf school in America began! Among other reasons 😌 surprisingly lots of things related to that in Hartford research I did

Ngl I had a dream when I took a nap and this was in it so I decided to draw it 😌 basically 1946 & 1964 were big years for Alaskan earthquake magnitudes! '46 caused tsunamis all the way to Hawaii and took over a hundred people, '64 caused tsunamis in Alaska and took over a hundred people as well, but I find the parallels between some of Alaska and Hawaii's histories to be very interesting (case in point Dutch Harbor & Pearl Harbor as one example) 🤔
