Hi! I'm in the process of researching breeders to buy my first snake from, is ReptMart a reliable breeder? The reviews on their site are pretty good but as they are on the site itself they could be doctored/bots. I've been trying to find outside information on them, what are your thoughts?

We’ve also been unable to find anything negative on them, and several years ago (2016-ish) we bought a female super snow leopard gecko from them that was shipped safely and was super healthy!

Personally, I’d order from them again.

Don't shop at snakes at sunset

Don't shop there. They have incompetent customer service. I don't live in the state but bought a gift card online because my then 12 year old wanted a particular snake.  She didn't order anything right away. When we finally went to use it, I realized I only had a receipt and the account I had created.  I asked to get the certificate number and was told they had no record of me purchasing one. The most frustrating part...I have been getting these answers in short somewhat rude incomplete sentences for the past 2 months.  I have provided proof of the purchase with my direct and PayPal receipts which they deny I sent. They seem to be computer illiterate as well as crooks. Spend your money elsewhere.

Bob Clark - Very Shady Breeder

I've bought from Bob Clark twice and I very strongly don't recommend dealing with him. First snake I bought was a super raptor boa, his emails were prompt though a bit sparse. He's not one to provide much detail on his snakes. I paid and arranged shipment, and the afternoon before shipping I sent an email to confirm. Bob replied that he had accidentally loaded the wrong picture to his site and sold me the wrong snake. The original had apparently already been auctioned off. This was about an hour before he had planned to drop her off and wanted the ok to ship me a different super raptor from the same litter. I was in the middle of a shift at a busy retail pharmacy and had to make the snap decision to take this new snake. Thankfully she arrived on time and in great condition, but the circumstances were less than ideal. I have a gut feeling he was planning to ship me the wrong snake without saying a word about it had I not emailed him. Second snake I bought from him was an IMG motley boa, again I paid and received confirmation of a shipping date. I took off work to receive the snake and it never arrived. I wasn't able to reach Bob via email or phone until the next day. He responded with an email (good luck getting him on the phone) apologizing and saying that he'd mixed up his days. We arranged for another ship date the following week, and again no snake. At this point I was ready to stop payment from my bank. Again I received an apology email and a guarantee he would ship out. I asked for tracking number and never received a reply, the snake just showed up at my door the next day. I won't be doing business with him again and advise anyone looking for a snake to save yourself the hassle of paying thousands for an animal you may or may not receive.

We purchased a baby corn snake on the 8 th of march..we ended up haveing to drive 53 miles to pick it up on the 13th....after getting there the snake wasnt there...so back we went on the 15th when finaly delivered thete..but..our snake wad dead!! Then trying for 4 days to reach someone..an takeing pics an ect..still no response!! What a bunch of bs...they cant even return a phone call after 8 emails..an numerious calling an texting..still havent talked to anyone but 2 twice through out this mess!! So much for 50 dollar over night shipping!! An now they say ....we will refund ur money!! For the snake not shipping! How tacky is this!! All we want was the damn snake!! So then they say we will send another one if u pay another 50 shipping!! R they fucking nuts?? I believe they should ship another just because of their crappy deliver...an it being dead on arrival. My 16 year old daughter is so upset after all the crap to get it then burring it ect...all she wants is her live snake!! Guess thats not going to happen..an to think she was going to purchase the 500.00 dollar green tree boa...thank god she didnt..if it is this aweful just to purchase a 30.00 dollar snake...im glad we did test run first..csuse they dont give two fucks about their animals or god forbid the customers!!

So please dont use them if u r thinking of getting a snake..they r very rediculous! An unprofessional!! Sorry to disappoint u ...they surely will..

I Bought A Female Leopard Gecko From Fleming Reptiles

Okay well I went to the booth for them at the Tallahassee Reptiday on September 15th 2015 and bought a Female hypo tangerine to breed with my yellow tangerine however after a week I put them into the sAmerican tank to see how they'd do and the new female instantly attacked my male "Louie" and ripped a chunk of skin off,wondering why she'd be so aggressive I checked to see if she had...elatoral pores...she did,which means he sold me a male and unfortunately my Louie died a month later and if you ask why I didn't check myself at the show its simple he's a breeder so I trusted he was selling me what was advertised and the geckos were already a little aggressive so I didn't feel like getting bit and having any sort of scene but that's it that's my story I hopen they are there this year so I can explain my concern.

I’m rebooting this post to be more informative. I have offended some people and was called out as racist for rewriting comments these people made without a screen shot and I am sorry I had come off as racist to those who were offended and I will be more careful. I honestly didn’t know that re writing things they have said would have been an issue. I now provided a screen shot.

This guy breeds “Exotic Bullies”, his goal is to get them to resemble actual toads. Hence the name of his kennel. Like most bully breeders, he does far too direct inbreeding of siblingXsibling and ParentXoffspring to achieve their grossly deformed bodies in litters.  They are sold at outrageous prices, as if they are nothing more than luxury cars…

Most of his dogs and puppies - as provided in the pictures- cannot even stand for long periods of time. As you can see in the pictures, these are their “Confirmation/Stacked” pictures. Notice that most are flopped onto their hips? Well they cannot stand too long. They have been so grossly bred that normal movements are impossible. However, as us with a wide knowledge on animal care and breeding ethics know, this is terrible. It’s downright abuse and cruelty. The screen shot I provided shows how these people who follow the breeder’s page are totally oblivious to the obvious cruelty.  Calling the puppies “All Bone and Dome” and leaving dollar signs in the litter pictures.

One of the saddest things is, he is only one of MANY others who do this.

has anybody here used the aspen sanichips sold by Fleming's Reptiles? I just bought some at repticon Charlotte today to try out for a skink once i get one, but i've read a bit about people buying animals from him and finding out they have mites, and now i'm worried that the sanichips might have mites as well.

Felt like I’d share a good experience for once.  I got a Vietnamese Blue Beauty Rat Snake from Scales and Tails of Ohio today. (10/17/2017)  The owner of the company lost my email but remembered my name and sought me out on Facebook to make sure I got my tracking info the the snake, also called over the phone for voice confirmation.  Was really awesome experience with them. I do plan to get more from them again. I was super happy with this turn out because Vietnamese Beauty Snakes are almost impossible to find CBB in America. Everywhere I looked everyone was out. I happened to obtain this persons last one they had. Awesome turn out.  Would personally recommend going through them.

Do not order from New England reptile distributors

Giving this place one star is pretty hard, but they unfortunately don't a negative option. I went to their website last night and ordered 3 tarantulas for a total of $230. I got the confirmation that my order was received, but never got an email confirming shipping. I called today to find out why and they told me their website doesn't show their current stock and they don't have two of the three spiders, even though they accepted payment. At that time I requested to cancel my order and get refunded the money. About 10 minutes later I got an email saying that they were shipping on Monday and it would arrive on Tuesday. So I called again to find out what was going on. The Manager confirmed they do not have the spiders, so I asked why the shipping confirmation was sent. He responded he didn't know. So I told him I wanted an immediate refund, he replied the guy that does that won't be here until tomorrow possibly Tuesday (this is the same guy that sent the shipping confirmation). So now I'm out $230, I have no spiders (my first order ever too) and I cannot get a refund for possible five days. I no time did the manager or the man I had spoke to earlier in the day ever apologize either. I work in retail and if I made such a Gross mistake, I would lose my job. First and probably my last online spider order.

I just wanted to bash LLLReptiles... just don't buy their animals. Their supplies are great, and I have bought supplies from them for years, but knew that I shouldn't buy any reptiles from them. Despite that, I lost my self-control at a reptile show and purchased a snake from them. I shouldn't have been surprised when it had snake mites. Unless you enjoy dealing with snake mites, don't buy from LLLReptiles.

Purchased a ball python from Rodents & Wildlife vendor snake immediatey began exhibiting star gazing issues.coldnt get in touch with vendor finally contacted the repticon team via email got a email for vendor had email exchange for 4 or 5 days to no avail.
