sorry 2 rant in ur inbox cuz ive been thinking about this too. its also really weird when people who get uptight about trans edogai bring up the genital mutilation as reasoning for why she? can't be trans? maybe im overthinking but I thought we were past genitals equating gender. but no, god forbid edogai be trans, much less transfem :/

literallyyyyy this person also kind of implied its the Only reason anybody would hc edogai as trans which WOULD be a point somebody could make (even though i think its not godawful, i could see how "this character who got castrated is trans and i have no other transfem headcanons" would be a little weird) but also ???? edogai literally wears dresses. pretty sure thats the main reason ppl are hcing this. edogai canonically has a not-100%-binary-man relationship w gender (not to equate clothing w gender, but its 1907, there arent exactly cis men in dresses trending on tiktok or w/e) god forbid anybody consider she might be anything other than a cis man.
