If Luz Never Came to the Boiling Isles

The Clawthornes would remain broken and distant with each other

Eda’s curse would only get worse without anybody there to properly help her

King would never have found out this key to his true past and knowing he had a father somewhere out there

Willow’s talents would have been held back without given a full chance to blossom

Gus would have no real knowledge of the human world and continue living life in blissful ignorance

Amity would remain on a path to becoming a person she wouldn’t even recognize anymore

Willow and Amity would remain distant as well

Principal Bump would keep students creativity and growth restricted by having them stick to one magic track

The Bat Queen’s palismans would remain discarded and unloved without real masters

And Hunter would stay as closed minded as his uncle instead of being given the opportunity to explore and learn more about the benefits of wild magic

Luz Noceda is a character who improves the lives of nearly every person she met in the Boiling Isles, and it would be a grim place without her.

Just something to think about.

Tell me why I started thinking about Hunter and possibility of him having Religous Trauma because Bitch Belos talks about Titan's will all the time to justify what he does and that Titan hates wild magic which Hunter is very intrested in and Titan is kinda like God in their world

I know we like to make fun of Hunter’s name

but imagine him being like 11 and picking it out for the first time like “yeah !!! This sounds so masculine and cool!!” Bless his heart

one of my headcanons is that the golden guard/hunter has oneirophobia ( the fear of dreams ) and has nightmares almost everytime he falls asleep hence the eye bags

That's interesting! (And sad)

And makes sense for him: there's so much pressure on his figure, the heavy burden that lays on his shoulders just seens even more stressing when you think he has no one he can truly count – he always has to be alert.

And of course, the agony of never knowing enough to be able to help, to change the status quo so he won't be just a tool, or a favor. But his uncle resists his curiosity and every attempt becomes one more frustration he should've seen coming;

All of those elements combined, plus the not very friendly environment of his coven sure doesn't make a good mix for frivolous dreams;

So to avoid such nightmares, he stays awake as long as he can, being a productive procrastinator: studying, fixing his armor, calibrating his staff, (playing with his Palisman), anything! And he cannot fight the fatigue anymore, he rests, hoping he could get a dreamless night for once;

Cardinal palisman thoughts

The cardinal was torn between Luz and Hunter, and it did not want to choose without telling the bat queen.

I think the Cardinal was originally going to choose Luz but in a way they thought Hunter needed them more.

Hunter and Luz are both cut from the same cloth, powerless witches (maybe also humans if Hunter is related to Phillip) in a demon realm taken in by powerful witches.

The difference is Luz found Eda, who taught Luz to find magic her own way, to choose her own destiny

Hunter found Belos who chose his destiny for him and told him how to use magic

Cardinal represents hope, energy, life and restoration. While Luz had all of these, Hunter needed all of these.
