#anecdotal advice incoming #seek a pain management clinic if you can #after the main source of my abuse stopped my body realized it was safe enough to relax and feel for a minute #and evidently it had been holding on to a lot for a very long time #so i wasnt in constant immediate danger anymore but well. the body sure does keep score. #and i started experiencing this wide spread near constant joint pain that fluctuated seemingly randomly and didnt align with common diseases #so i spent 4 years telling doctor after doctor abt my pain. all of them telling me all the tests were negative #that i'm too young to be in pain that diagnosis isnt possible that this or that minor thing could be off #etc #and then finally. finally. i got referred to pain management #and at last someone actually listened to the things i was telling them and had new ideas on things to try and explained what was happening #and god bless. i got put on medicine that actually helped so fucking much #and it improved my life so much its unbelievable #there are still things i'm limited in and i get flares now and then #but i don't wake up randomly unable to get out of bed. and i can reliably go for walks and exercise and whatnot without having to tap out
