So I got halfway through A Conspiracy of Kings on the plane ride to VA and asldfhalkjl Sophos. I love him. Megan Whalen Turner’s descriptions are almost nonexistent though, so I was wondering whether you guys could help me out? I got the vague impression that he’s fair-haired and kind of a big guy but aside from that I kind of have no idea what he looks like, his clothing, his skin tone, nothing. Anything would be helpful!

why, yes i do. presented without too much comment:

it's a scam because you need to use both things to tell a story effectively. if it's all show, your novel is going to be over 200k words and half of it will probably be a travelogue. if it's all tell, we'll have a hard time getting into the characters' thoughts and feelings. show, don't tell exists to help newer writers explore what's going in their characters' minds. it's not a hard and fast rule once you've learned how to characterize and give context. so please, do some telling. do some beautiful telling.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth launches in early 2024

SEGA has released the first trailer for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, the newly announced official title for Like a Dragon 8, as well as confirmed it will launch in early 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is a direct sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon where an unexpected chain of events sets two legendary ex-yakuza, Kasuga Ichiban and Kazuma Kiryu, on a larger-than-life adventure as dual playable protagonists.
