" she says , voice cracking again through the excitement of the rise and fall of her voice. she has never heard of an advicer before. maybe they handed out advice. " well my daddy says you should never take advice from a bad guy. " she shakes her head , pushing her lip way out with a pout. maybe the four year old has to be the hero of this tale , after all , princesses should be able to do whatever they want.

" I WANT SOME CAKE , PLEASE PLEASE PLEAAAAASE ! "

What an adorable child! she made the princess to laugh softly with a gloved hand covering her pink colored lips.

"I would like to, but my advisor scolds me if I eat too much of them"

" even with the fact just seconds prior the four year old happened to blurt the word bigfoot out , that's not taken into account. she also is confusing stories. bigfoot isn't known for stealing children , but she really thinks she is right on that. " AND .. he doesn't let them have any chocolate. EVER again. " she is really serious about this. this is a life threatening disaster.

" my daddy told us the story when we were camping ! " she smiles a big toothy grin , proud that she gets to know the story first even if she is getting things mixed up.

Big... foot? What the tiny human describes is nothing short of utterly ridiculous. Paris doesn't know if he should chalk it up to the overactive imagination of a child, or her family feeding her absurd bedtime stories. He's leaning toward the latter more than former. In all fairness, however, can he jump to conclusions so swiftly when a monster like himself exists?

THE FOUR YEAR OLD had the best sleep ever last night. her dream was about totoro and her marching around a big tree ! what a great time it was. satsuki was there too ! playing in the dirt all day really can tire her out , but she still has a lot to accomplish the next morning. " i'm BEAT .. " that's a term that satsuki has been using a lot more. mei likes to repeat her older sister and adopt new phrases from her. the four year old pretends to wipe away any excess sweat on her forehead like the action heroes do in movies and drops the shovel on the ground.

mei is rushing as fast as her little legs can carry her towards her father's study. " dad , i'm a big girl aren't i ?! " such words are so confident. she needs to be told how much of a big girl she is lately just to make sure that she is on the right track. he responds with a big compliment of her being so grown up lately and then retires back to his work with a growing grin.

satsuki is staying at a friend's house tonight , so it is only mei and her dad. that is okay , as long as she has one family member she can be with. getting into a nice sleeping bag arrangement in the next room over , her dad comes into the room and kisses her forehead goodnight. she smiles at her father as he leaves the room for more urgent work activities. the family had a safety net around the bed area as a means to combat the growing bugs that attempt to infiltrate their home while they sleep.

she is cuddling close with her blanket , watching the fireflies outside to crowd the vicinity. this was her favorite part of the night.

SHE HAS NEVER SEEN a real life unicorn before now. they are just as pretty as they are in her favorite books that her mother reads ! " woooooooooow ... " the four year old says in a loud dreamy whisper.

she wants to get a little closer , so she is attempting to be as stealthy as possible. it is until she steps on a few breaking pebbles on impact that give away her position away. she stands still with a tensed up expression , tight pigtails to float higher with this tension achieved. a lot of unicorns in her books are really nice. maybe this one is a nice unicorn. " are you a REAL unicorn ?! " mei's voice cracks with every excited question that blurted out of her. she couldn't resist.

chrcmatics asked: the sandman is here with a dream for little mei-mei! a sprinkle of golden sand upon her hair, and there it goes! a sweet, bright dream of running along the branches of a big, big tree, all dappled sunlight and fluttering butterflies. the branches are never-ending, and there's no risk of falling down, just running and running in the boughs.

MEI FEELS SO FAST UPON THE TREE , JUST LIKE TOTORO ! she could almost soar above the trees.

she tries to catch a few butterflies on the way , but all of them seem to be so brightly out of focus. " AHAHAHAA .. " her sweet giggle carries , mimicking a big puff of her chest like totoro would do. " ROAAAAR ! ROAAAAAAAAAR ! " oh , it feels good to be brave. this is a great dream. if she had a choice , the only thing that could make it better would be having satsuki here. still , when she finally wakes up , she'll be sure to tell satsuki all about it. for her , it's just as real as totoro.

" W-WOAAAAAAH ! " no risk of falling , no risk of hurt knees .. but all the risk of fun !

SHE LOOKS AT HER OWN DRAWING ready to explain anything and everything about it. even if she didn't have the exact answers for why or what , she will make it up as she goes. besides , there has to be a reason for everything a four year old encounters. " that's totoro's leaf hat ! " she giggles. " he REALLY likes it because it catches a LOT of rain ! AND THIS THING RIGHT HERE --- " she points to the umbrella he has in almost every drawing she has crafted. " that's his umbrella that satsuki gave him so that he could stay dry since it was raining ! totoro likes rain sooooo much. drip drip droooop ~ ! " oh how fun it is to play in the rain. if she could go outside and play all day , she would , but satsuki says that she'll catch a cold.

" do you like the rain , matha .. ? " she tries to say the name martha , but tends to second guess herself a lot. matha seemed like the right choice.

WOAH , THAT'S RIGHT. she totally didn't think about how stinky people can rub off on OTHER PEOPLE. she better back away , and quick ! making a line in the dirt with a stick , she steps across it and makes an x motion with her hands in the air. " you stay waaaaay over there. " it is just a simple line and it wasn't like they were far away from each other , but the rule is , nothing can cross a line in the dirt. she didn't make the rules , that's just what satsuki told her. satsuki is pretty smart , she hasn't been wrong once.

mei remembers the tomato juice bath after her and her sister were sprayed by a skunk. that was really miserable and she wouldn't want to do it ever again.

pointing towards him , she thinks up the next best question. " are you best friends with a skunk ?! "

man, little kids were brutal. but instead of being offended, he grinned as he played into her joke, wiggling his fingers ominously as he towered over her.

" mm, maybe. a stink this bad spreads, you know. maybe you get stinky, too, if you stand too close. "

SHE WAS REALLY CONCENTRATING on this drawing. and by concentrating , she has definitely scribbled all over with her crayons. unfortunately her last drawing ran out of the color grey , so she is using purple as a substitute.
