(Sort of an update on the last reference image. After some personal debate, and help from others, it was deemed best to add the scarf back into her clothing. I might mess with it more later, but here’s this thing for now.)

It’s not every day that Roche is greeted with a multitude of customers, and on days such as this, Rua, a current resident (not always so much to her ‘caretaker’s’ liking), will sometimes come out of hiding. While she often does little more than float about or watch from one of her many perches on days like this, this time she approaches him with a piece of paper with a distinct symbol crudely drawn upon it. The fact that the only writing utensils she could find were for Roche’s own usage, rather than someone of her size, did not help her with her writing, but she hardly seems discouraged. If anything, she appears hopeful, and in higher spirits than normal. To what end, is the question. (1/?)

It wasn’t asked for, but Rua’s noticed a lot of K’s from a certain someone she looks up to, and, after a few weeks days of building up courage, but not enough to ask for one herself, she quickly flew in to steal one before it was too late, even if it was a bit one sided. She flew off right after and isn’t too sure if he was particularly happy with the situation or not, though... She’s probably hiding in a corner somewhere.

(I sometimes forget how small I made Rua until I compare her side by side with Roche. I know it’s a bit late now, but Merry Christmas/ happy holidays to everyone. Poor Rua. Too smol to love.)

“It’s the holidays, and I’m ready to be somebody’s next merry mistake.” Looks like Roche had a bit of a topple trying to hang the mistletoe~ had a little too much alcohol in his system for that job. Rua teaches Roche to choose his words much more carefully. (This took me far too long to complete, and I apologize. Slowly, my time and motivation for drawing is coming back. Thankfully, I’m no longer sick, as I mentioned in my last update... Hopefully, things will continue to get better, and soon.)

(Sorry for the lack of updates... I've been extremely sick for a while... To the point I can barely hold my tablet pen. But to show I'm at least still alive for now, here's a sort of... updated image of Rua. I wanted to make her hair more distinct, but it was thanks to some guidance from Roche-mod that she will have a scarf instead of floof covering her face. But, also less of it for the sake of defining her actual body-type. I also couldn't seem to quite stick with the black eyes... With how I draw, I think just having the outlines works better overall, personally. Anyway... I'm hoping to actually see a doctor later today, but it sounds like I still have a long road of recovery ahead, either way. Thank you for your patience.)

A simple blog devoted to an insect character who I have named 'Rua.' I don't know how often I'll update, or even how long the blog will last... But it's not every day that inspiration strikes. To everyone that sees this, you can already tell my skills are lacking, no doubt. But that's exactly what I hope to improve upon. I do hope to get better... This guy has been a great support for a long time now, and it's mostly thanks to him that Rua was made. As of now, things are still decently busy for me, life-wise, but I expect it all to start cooling down within the next few months. That should leave me with more time to practice and, hopefully, update. Thank you for reading.
