"To be honest I really like the premise of the new two stories. I didn't enjoy the heavens secret books before but this HSR is really looking good because I love the whole post apocalyptic vibe. Also love ABR because I love the supernatural genre. Overall I love both the books and I'm looking forward to the next update."
Still thinking about this pixel man who we met for all of 5 seconds living in my head rent free. He is literally my ideal man. He's cocky, self-assured, assertive, and yet kind, uplifting, and caring.
🥹😍
Doesn't hurt that he looks like my IRL husband........ 😁
Damn can he wake me up every morning... And like, can his next gift just be him naked in my bed
😂 I guess that's because some of us are old. He looks like a fine 30-something-year-old. I also just want to continue pushing his buttons, I love when he gets annoyed 🤣
Lol still thirsting after this guy tbh, especially since none of the original lis do anything for me... Bradley shows some promise though
First of all, de Boer is a surname in my family. Second of all, this Guusje is literally a copy of my maternal step grandmother. A bit more strict though. But wow. Such Noord Holland style..
NEW STORY: The future is unclear. Sometimes is hard to make sense of it. Sometimes it gives you a hopeful smile, sometimes is a predatory slowl that doesn't bode well.
Can't relate, anon. I love them all. And her nails!
@romanceclub-confessionss , I know you've put restrictions on comments to be only from accounts that have followed you for over a week, but that apparently means we can't comment from side blogs anymore :( Maybe that's a good thing though...
Confession:
"I love celestial fashion but some of the outfits in time catcher are getting a bit repetitive and I'm getting bored."
I'm griping about the notification. GOE is being edited by Remy and it shows in the horrible notifications. "If only you knew"??!?!?! No. Her job is to show us exactly how, not patronisingly tease us with what she should have written. I'm supposed to understand from the dialogue and the descriptions that Doo-yeong is pleased, apparently very pleased.
No. Screw you Remy, that's your freaking job to show me! Terrible writing...
I wish OTI author was the only author here and would stop being influenced by the worst thing to happen to the RC app in a long time
1. It's annoying to me that the author is not capable of writing adults. All of her characters no matter their ages act like they're college students. That, or they act like parents (Ulan).
2. It's obvious that the author actually has no clue about certain professions. Almost all of the details are wishy-washy or left out completely.
3. Some of the characters have had no character growth at all, and the ones who did had it in one episode. Ari is boring AF right now. He had a moment where he was convinced he wasn't good enough for MC but then went back onto his high horse in seconds.
4. Which brings me to the housing situation... What happened to all the "I love this house, I'm keeping it"? And now she moved in with not 1 but 2 friends?? Which makes the steamy scenes super awkward??? Like does she really not want the space? It's so strange! I remember how frustrating it was when my boyfriend-now-husband wanted to be intimate but we had no private space at all. And that was because we were poor. Lol.
5. The story leans into stereotypes too much. Promiscuous gay guy? ✅ Black guy not able to keep a job and disappearing for months? ✅ Emily the model minority? ✅ Ulan overprotective older brother? ✅ Asian parents stereotype? ✅ One or a few of these are fine but omg give it a rest....
I agree with this. That's because Wincy's style is very similar to choices style.
HOT was extremely similar to TCATF, both in style and in storyline. (And tbh that's actually a slight against TCATF, because that story was better. MC in TCATF had real character development and grappled with dark things in a meaningful way. HOT MC never takes responsibility for anything, it's always "oh how awful that this happened under my leadership!!! But oh well it's because they were evil") The choices we made only had an impact on romance and end result of the battle, but no real significant choices were made. MC stays queen no matter what. She's a goody two shoes Mary Sue no matter what. She's had no character development at all. And the other characters are the same. Yes I hear you all shouting about Reinhold, but it's not character development if the person always was this way already, and all disagreements between them and MC gets washed away with "it was just a misunderstanding!"
So far Soulless is looking to be the same chaotic nonsense as like, say, Bloodbound. It's boring AF when characters stay the same from start to finish. But maybe Wincy will pleasantly surprise us. That said, we've already seen that MC is the only demon who cares etc so the whole "wow these other people are awful, but I'm good" thing, and the "all my bad actions were caused by others or misunderstandings" has already been set up.
Edit: lol the rant about taxes and rent (and yes they suck and I would also love a star trek TNG world but like, hello.... I guess even they had taxes, more like 100% tax rate lol). This is literally choices. It's immature black and white thinking. Wincy is using this convenient world building where she gets to present our world (which we're all familiar with) to us, while stealthily getting on a soap box to push her opinions on us and it's insufferable.
Simon Cook from Romance Club Moonborn is my curse i can't get over it for 4 years now. Or 5. People bullied me because i was drawing him. Because there were prettier boys. Guh
