Hello all! I’m excited to get the revamp going. I’ve decided that I’ll be sticking Daisuke in Cloud, hopefully as the Main Vocal (Seungkwan, Youngjae, Jaehwan and Jinyoung). I look forward to all of your revamped muses, and writing with them!

eriifmd:
location: a cafe in seoul when: sometime between august & september with: @fmddaisuke
nowadays, erii didn’t get out a terrible amount. she hadn’t realized how much preparation her solo would take – or, well, debut process in general. erii guesses she hadn’t really put two and two together when it came to industry differences, and things were still surprising her at every turn. she had constant evaluations on her solo, whether it be focused on her vocals, her dancing, or both ( those were always the worst, ) there was always somewhere to get better. while she originally thought that she’d be ready – she already debuted once – she felt like she was leagues behind.
she’d always be leagues behind.
so, taking a break wasn’t exactly ideal. however, she had daisuke had connected, and erii was feeling anxious about being a foreigner in this industry. not only moving from the j-pop to k-pop industry, but just being a japanese idol anyway. it was different, in a way – she’d be under scrutiny from her looks to her pronunciation, and erii wasn’t sure how to prepare for that. thus, she asked daisuke for help – between their schedules, this seemed to work best. charm had been busy with their tour, and erii hadn’t torn herself out of the studio much. they both needed some time to relax, right ? the cafe they’d found to accommodate the conversation was small and quiet, a place that erii often frequented while she was still studying to get some time away from the dorm. her eyes darted around, thankful they were the only two in there. erii was sure daisuke didn’t want any scandals arising, nor did erii want anything like that to start out her career.
they were already sat with their respective drinks, erii taking a sip of her iced coffee before letting out a long breath. “ should i be worried ? ” she asks, voice tight. “ i feel like the closer i get, the more i get worried about how i’m gonna be perceived. i read comments from the festival – and yes, i know that was a mistake now, ” she points out, holding up a finger. in her defense, she was too self-absorbed to not look. not that she’d say that to daisuke. “ but the highlight of my performance was apparently how bad my accent is when i speak korean, ” she states with a pout. it wasn’t, not really – because erii’s accent wasn’t even that bad, and people had been impressed by her being a trainee and performing rather well considering. rumors about what was going on with chroma – of course they were correct. but the bad stuck out more in erii’s mind. “ is it always going to be like that ? comments on how i shouldn’t even be the group. i mean, i haven’t even debuted and i’m worried i’m just going to be hated for being a foreign member. ” she sighs, leaning on the table and propping her head up with her fist. “ come on dai, you’re basically my big brother – give me advice here. or just tell me everything will be okay, but i wouldn’t appreciate the lie. ”
CHARM’s tour had ended earlier that month and it seemed as if Daisuke hadn’t had a break since the moment he had landed back in South Korea from Japan. He had jumped right into gearing up for the release of his second solo album which was being released in just a few days, which he was definitely looking forward to. There was a mixture of excitement and nervousness that he was feeling that only came with releasing new music. He had been listening to his album over and over on repeat for days, trying to find anything that could possibly be tweaked or perfected to sound the best that it could possibly sound. It was tiresome and stressful, but the good obviously outweighed the bad for him.
Even though he was busy, he still tried to make the time for his friends and the people he was close to. He didn’t want anyone to feel like just because he was busy that he couldn’t be there for them. Even though he might have come across as emotionally vacant or reticent, Daisuke was a good friend. Or at least he tried his best to be. He knew that he had to try a little harder with his friendships, just so that they knew that he actually did care. At least until they learned more about his personality to realize that his silence or days without communication wasn’t because he didn’t want to talk to them or that he was mad at them, it was just how he was.
It wasn’t an easy question to answer. He didn’t want to put any negativity in her head, but he didn’t want to sugarcoat things either. “No, you shouldn’t be worried. But you should also know that it doesn’t get easier; you just get better at dealing with it. You’ll always be seen as an outlier; the one that doesn’t fit in, the weird one. That’s never going to change. But it’s not completely bad. You might get hate, but you’ll get just as much love and support. You’ll have your group members supporting you too. The bad never overpowers the good. It might feel like that in specific moments, but those moments always pass.”

fmdandy:
if it were someone else, andy would have gotten mad about those clapbacks, partially for demeaning him and partially for their straightforward, therefore bordering on unfunny, nature. from daisuke, he was brushing the comments away with laughter.
andy took the phone, and took a glance at the screen, “album name already? ought to be keeping this off the forums?” he clicked at the side of his mouth, then continued, “dunno, man, think you’ll have to pay me to keep quiet.” zero seriousness laced his words, of fucking course not. however, it gave him enough time for the stylist to stop fussing with him, so that he could relax his posture and properly look at the tracks in front of him. deliberation useless, andy clicked on the first song his finger reached towards, and let the song play in front of him through the air. when drums and guitar hit so early on, andy raised a brow, then turned away to laze a pacing around the room as he listened. this song was a lot more his style than one kiss.
he was surprised how impressed he was.
when the song stopped, andy pressed pause, turned around, pulled air through his teeth and teased, “your growl’s well sexy, dude.” he laughed at himself, though short lived. “nah, but, that’s the shit. super reminiscent of that old school emo rock. rest of these songs like that, too?” turning back to the phone, andy clicked on the next song, and after hearing a brighter tone, scrubbed through until there was an electric guitar, then again to typical ballad instruments. “eh, well, gotta stick to your roots, eh?”
“The album name was one of the first things I came up with.” Daisuke knew that there were a lot of artists who worked in the opposite way - having their album finished before naming it. However, the vocalist had only been halfway through recording for his album before he came up with the title. Despite how simple it sounded, it meant a lot to Daisuke and he was happy with the finished product. Happy and excited to release it. Even though it might not have looked like it, he was very excited and nervous about the release of his second album. Excited because he wanted people to hear his music, but nervous because it was a complete one-eighty from his solo debut.
He snorted. Loudly. “Okay.” He rolled his eyes when he playfully implied that he was blackmailing him, before he went back to looking in the standing mirror, fiddling with the way his hair fell against his forehead. He rarely liked having his hair done by the stylists, especially sing his hair had grown out and they had began wanting to experiment with different looks and styles on him. When in all actuality, all he really wanted was to be able to run his fingers through his hair a few times and go. He had to resist the urge to mess up what the hairstylists had done.
While he adjusted his clothes to his maximum comfort level, or as close he could get them to, he listened to the song as Andy played it. It was a song that he was very proud of, one of his favorites on the whole album, which was why he had made it his title track. “Thanks.” He couldn’t help but let out an amused noise. “There are rock elements to all the songs.” Then the next song started playing. “Considering rock is where my roots are, I think I’m sticking to them. What’s wrong with mixing in another genre?”

fmdseola:
“Come, sit,” Seola says with a smile once Daisuke confirms who he is. She couldn’t very well expose him while they were out in a public space. Although he is a member of one of the most like boy groups, Seola still thinks Daisuke deserves his privacy. Heck, they all do. Besides, both Jihoon and Sehoon will have her head if anything bad happened to their group mate. “Oh, the girls and I have been busy.” Seola laughs as she shakes her head. “They wake up every morning and chose chaos, but what’s new?”
“How about you, though?” Seola redirects the question to him. “I heard from both Jihoon and Sehoon that you guys have been busy, too.” Admittedly, this is the first time Seola is having a conversation with Daisuke without anyone else. So far, he is a nice guy. She will laugh if she ends up collecting majority of CHARM members at the rate she’s meeting and getting to know them. “Working on anything exciting?”
It was quite hard for Daisuke to fall under the radar in public. Not only was he apart of one of the biggest k-pop boy groups active at that moment, but he was also one of the tallest male idols active at that moment. Paired with the fact that he was a foreigner, it wasn’t exactly difficult to notice or recognize him. He was just glad that his face mask hid his face just enough for him to get around without too much trouble. “Thank you.” He bowed his head a bit in gratitude as he settled down in his seat. “I can relate to that.” It seemed as though his own group tended to choose chaos when they were altogether.
He took a sip from his drink, letting out a slight chuckle. “We’ve been pretty busy, yeah.. We’re about to go on a tour throughout Japan for a few weeks in about two weeks. And we’re working on our next comeback too.” It seemed like that was a lot, but it wasn’t anything that he wasn’t used to. BC Entertainment tended to give CHARM that kind of treatment. “Oh, and I’m working on some solo music too.” He smiled. “Do you have anything exciting coming up?”

fmdchunhwa:
Every bit of her apprehension when it came to how public hers and Andy’s relationship was came from a place of being worried about Andy, not so much about herself. Sure, if their relationship got outed, it would fall mostly on Chunhwa. She was still under a dating ban, technically, would be until early the next year, so there would be consequences with the company, ones that would probably lead to her being punished in some way. Chunhwa would also become target number one of Charm’s fans’ rage, which could not be fun considering they were probably top five in the rabid boy group stans list. It wouldn’t be a walk in the park for her, but Chunhwa wasn’t known for making wise decisions and neither did she care extensively about people who hated her. Andy relied on keeping his image as clean as possible for as long as possible, though, especially with his new ventures, so that was where her concern fell mostly on.
“Do you think you are too busy for him to have time to find a mistress? I think so too. Or I would be pretty fucking pissed if he used any free time of his to go looking for a woman to replace me with! Imagine? The gall!” Chunhwa didn’t actually think that was possible. She doubted Andy could easily meet someone he had as much patience to deal with as Chunhwa. Any mirth she found in the topic of Andy immediately fell when she thought about Joosung. Chunhwa wasn’t the type of person to make friends easily, neither was she the type to actively try too hard to maintain the ones she had, so whenever she did end up with friends she cared about, she became slightly attached. Being ignored as much as she was by Sung, and as often and for so long, she couldn’t deny that it hurt. “No, you don’t have to.” Chunhwa shook her head, biting down on her lower lip. “If he doesn’t want to speak to me then leave him be, I guess. Just hope he’s dealing better with everything. Quicksilver are debuting soon, aren’t they?”
He saw the relationships of other people as none of his business, much like how he wished that other people would consider his private and personal relationships as none of their business as well. Even though he was exposed to their relationship quite a bit when all the members of CHARM were all living together in one dorm, Daisuke still didn’t get involved in the dynamic between Chunhwa and Andy - which was why he wasn’t too familiar with her on more than a friendly acquaintance level. “Not too busy,” he answered honestly, his shoulders lifting up once in a shrug motion. “Just that I can’t think of another woman who would willingly put up with Andy’s personality just to sleep with him and then be kept as a secret because not only is he an idol, but he’s already in a relationship.” He didn’t think his group member was a horrible person, but he did know that his personality wasn’t exactly palatable for a lot of people. If he were being honest, he wasn’t sure how Chunhwa put up with him for long periods of time. No offense to Andy at all. He didn’t think badly of him and he cared about him quite a bit, but it wasn’t farfetched or impossible to see how difficult it would be to get along with him.
When she denied being mentioned to Sung, Daisuke raised an eyebrow, but nodded his head nonetheless. He wasn’t sure what was going on there, but he wasn’t going to pry into it. At least not right then and there. He would most likely mention to Sung that he ran into Chunhwa later on that evening when they were both at home, even though he wouldn’t mention everything that was said in their conversation. Depending on Sung’s reaction to the news, he’d ask about what happened between them. “Alright, if you insist. But yes, they are. In just a few months, I believe. I think December.”

biyufmd:
Tumblr media
Biyu had been under the impression that she’d have a break from the BC Entertainment headquarters after her debut. After all, it had seemed as if the girls of Chroma did spend less time there, and she’d been looking forward to the break. Unfortunately, she was there to study up on the choreography for Chroma Ember’s debut. Dancing wasn’t exactly her strong suit, but then neither had being cutesy been, and look where that had landed her. At least she’d debuted, something she often had to remind herself of.
A visit to the company cafe was in order, and what the heck, she’d even try something new. Some odd sounding Italian thing she couldn’t pronounce sounded lovely, right up until she was advised otherwise. Turning to see the person behind her, she paused, tempted to be stubborn if only because she was in a less than stellar mood, but a breath in brought forth a grin that was far more friendly than she felt. “Ah, thanks. Um, I’ll just take a sandwich, then.” She told the person at the counter, then turned her attention back to Daisuke. “I am! And you’re Dai from Charm, right?” she asked sweetly, knowing full well who he was. She had made a point to know of as many idols as possible prior to debut, and Charm was even more important to know, as they were labelmates.
Tumblr media
Daisuke was a little surprised, albeit not really, when he realized that BC hadn’t made the right decision to get rid of the food that had put quite a few people out of commission after they ate it. He was unfortunately one of those people. It had happened to him years ago, back when he was a trainee and had just move to South Korea from Japan. No one had warned him about that specific food at first. In fact, no one had warned him at all. It was something that he pretty much had to learn all on his own. Did he wish he had someone who would’ve been nice enough to let him know? Definitely. Which was exactly why he had brought it upon himself to at least give Biyu some kind of heads up. He knew he would have appreciated it himself back then.
“Much better choice.” Daisuke nodded his head in approval. Not that she really needed it in the first place, that is. “I ate that,” he gestured to what she was about to order for herself, “back when I was a trainee and it was... not the brightest or smartest decision I have ever made, trust me.” He nodded once again; this time confirming her suspicion of who he was. It was honestly still a little surreal for Daisuke to have other people know his name. “That’s me. It’s nice to meet you officially.” He was already familiar with Erii, but had yet to form particularly close bonds with the other members.

fmdjoosung:
he couldn’t lie. “not great.” sung tucked his head, side of it resting on his arm, front smushed against the skin of daisuke’s neck. eyes closed, he could let himself focus on the details of hair tickling his face, pitter pattering rain louder with the balcony door open, a bird making a half-hearted attempt at chirping, the sound of daisuke’s fingers pulling across the guitar strings, and the chipper tune they created. whispered into the corner of space he carved for himself, sung said, “better now.” he pressed a kiss to daisuke’s neck, another up higher, then one on his cheek, and finally his temple, before he disengaged, straightened up, slid his arms across daisuke’s chest, up to his shoulders, for one more squeeze.
not all of sung’s problems could be fixed by a little cuddle, but it sure did make him feel good for a while. and right then, especially so early in the morning, he wasn’t sure he wanted to tackle any of his other problems. they could wait.
sung pat his feet along the floor to grab a pillow, one tossed down beside daisuke for him to plop himself onto. he leaned over, head against daisuke’s hip, behind the guitar so he wouldn’t be in the way of the playing. maybe in a bit he’d change his mind, become too selfish to not grab a proper cuddle, but for then, it was nice. “if i wanted to, i could blame you for not sleeping well. you left me.” sung poked daisuke’s thigh. “waking up without you’s terrible. how can i know you love me if i’m not trapped in your squeeze-y arms?” he turned his eyes up to daisuke, small smile on his lips.
That was understandable. He knew that answer to the question before he even asked it, but he still wanted to ask. He had to. Checking in on Sung had become something similar to that of a habit. He hadn’t realized when he had first picked it up, but it had been going strong for quite some time by that point in their relationship. He always found himself thinking about him, wondering how his day was going while they were apart, hoping that he was having a good day or that he wasn’t feeling too stressed or overwhelmed. Daisuke had been in a semi serious relationship prior to Sung, however his feelings in that relationship couldn’t compare to how he felt about the older male. The strumming stopped momentarily, Daisuke using this pause in time to tuck a few stray strands of hair behind his ear, before going back to plucking at his guitar’s strings in a random melody.
“Sorry,” he murmured empathetically, when he was told how he was feeling, although a small smile tugged at the corners of his mouth at the affection he was being given, his kisses spurring a rush of heat throughout his body in the best way possible.
He glanced down when he felt his head on his hip, but didn’t stop playing. He was glad that Sung had decided to come out and join him, although he would have preferred closer contact, it was better than nothing. A lot better. “Sorry,” he echoed once again. “I couldn’t stay in bed too much longer, I was feeling a little antsy. Needed to get up and move around a bit.” He knew that Sung wasn’t really upset - at least not enough to be actually mad, but he still felt a little guilty. “You can know by me sleeping in bed with you every night.” He wouldn’t do that with just anyone. He heard a soft ‘meow’ coming from behind him, before he felt fur brushing up against his leg. “You two are clingy today,” he mumbled lightheartedly.

fmdseola:
Now that they’re yet again preparing for another comeback due next month, Seola has found herself stocking up on coffee in case one of the members wants to gatecrash at her place. With this in mind, Seola then heads to one of the cafes that sells the beans one of the girls likes a lot. It’s not like she minds either. She likes the smell of cafe, anyway. It always smells like pastries, which is always a good thing for her. The supply of beans are still being marked, which will take half an hour at least, but Seola doesn’t mind waiting.
She decided to entertain herself by pulling out her phone to review the requirements she’ll need for the MBA program she’s been considering for the last two years. Just as she’s reading everything again, a voice interrupts her. Looking up from her phone, she recognizes the newcomer as a group mate of a couple of her friends. “Sure, why not?” She says once she sees that everywhere else is occupied. “Daisuke, yes? You’re friends with Sehoon and Jihoon, right?” She decides to be more subtle about it. After all, there could be someone who would blow both their covers.
“Yeah, I am.” He nodded his head once, giving her a polite smile. Even though he wouldn’t exactly call Jihoon and Sehoon his friends, he could see what she was trying to do and he very much so appreciated the efforts she was taking to make sure that they weren’t being overheard by anyone that might by any possible chance be a fan of either one of theirs. Daisuke liked to think of Jihoon and Sehoon more so as his family members than friends. He thought too highly of them for them to just be his friends. He spent too much time with them for him to consider them to just be friends. They were his brothers, even if they weren’t extremely close, he couldn’t see them as anything other than family members.
“How are you doing?” He asked politely as he settled down in the seat across from her, setting his food down on the table. Daisuke was pretty decent when it came to the beginnings of small talk. The ‘how are you’s’ and ‘what have you been up to’s’ were easy for him, it was when conversations take a different turn and became deeper that he began struggling to keep up.

fmdandy:
a one trick pony… andy really couldn’t get the idea of horseboy aidynn out his head, and now he was going to have to think of daisuke as one too. curse of the tall members: they were both horseboys.
“no duh.” andy kicked a small airborne lift of the foot, miming as if he’d kicked daisuke’s shin, though they were too far away from each other for him to actually do so. “i used to hear you blasting that girlypop shit in the dorm all the time. feel bad for your new neighbors.” easier it was for his smirk to lift, to laze, to give away the tease of his words. annoyed as he may have been at the time, by then, he’d let go of the animosity of the small moments. he didn’t have to deal with it any longer, so, problem solved.
he and daisuke had more in common than they ever let themselves think about. on occasion, in a brief second, andy could say, “yeah, me too,” and think of their similarity, but the moment passed before it went much further. this far along, leaning into the thought was unlikely to change anything anyway. they had a good relationship, comparatively. that was good enough. “yeah? that’d be sick, dude. you got any of them on your phone? probably got enough time before call.”
“Don’t blame me because I have a wider palette of musical taste than you do.” Even though the words might have appeared to be harsh at face value, they were coated in a lighthearted and humorous tone of voice. Daisuke had long since gotten used to Andy trying to poke fun at him for his music tastes. While the genre of rock was one that Daisuke considered to be his favorite, he loved a good pop song every now and then, and he couldn’t help it that their sister group, WISH, and quite a few other girl groups made good pop music. He had never been one to be too hung up on what was considered girly or manly - he liked what he liked, and he wasn’t ashamed or embarrassed by it. Which was exactly why he didn’t bother hiding his affinity for them and why he played them even though he knew Andy hated them while they were living in the CHARM dorm. “My neighbors have good taste, unlike someone I know.”
There was a part of Daisuke that wished that he and Andy’s relationship was a little better, a little stronger, like the dynamics between group mates he had seen during his time in the industry, but at the end of the day, he knew that it wasn’t exactly possible. While they did have a lot in common, those commonalities didn’t do much for the differences in their personalities, which didn’t mesh as well as their common interests. It was something that he had come to terms with early on in CHARM’s career. In a way it was disappointing, but such was life. Not everything worked out perfectly, including friendships. But their dynamic worked for them.
“Yeah, I do actually.” Daisuke tended to keep demo recordings of his songs on his phone, completed versions of songs as well, so he could listen to them in his free time and make any mental changes to things that didn’t sound as good as they could so he could really make the changes the next time he could get into the studio. Once he was finished with having his outfit properly fitted, he walked over to his personal clothes and fished around in his pockets for his phone, unlocking it and handing it to Andy. “You can choose which song you want to listen to.. It’s under the playlist ‘I’.”

fmdchunhwa:
Overall, Chunhwa tried to be as pleasant to staff as possible. She knew how easily gossip could spread if you weren’t, make up artists and hair stylists the usual suspects when it came to information leaking that never should have reached the public. A long time ago, Chunhwa realised that staying on their good side would only be beneficial to the two of them — not only would the staff have a pleasant day of work with someone who wasn’t going to be difficult, but Chunhwa could also be herself, more or less, without worrying about her secrets being leaked to the press. Even if she had a goal in mind, which was to speak specifically to Daisuke, she still made a point of greeting CHARM’s staff warmly. They knew her after all, hers and Andy’s relationship not being exactly a secret within the industry, and the kind smiles she got back only reassured Chunhwa that she still had a good rep with them.
“Ugh, he’s so fucking annoying, disappearing like this,” she came to stand in front of Daisuke, briefly thinking, as she always did, that it must annoy Andy to no end how much taller than him Daisuke was. Did her boyfriend pout about the fact that he was a shorty? She thought he did. “We never get time together and when we could see each other he fucks off somewhere else, ah, you think he has a mistress he’s hiding from me? Only possible explanation at this point.” Lips pursed into a pout, Chunhwa folded her arms across her chest, shifting her balance between legs so she could rest her left foot against her right calf. “What about you? How have you been? It’s been a while since we last saw each other. How’s Sung? I haven’t been able to speak to him lately, so I was— I’m worried, I guess. You’re the best person to ask, I suppose.”
Andy and Chunhwa’s relationship was one that Daisuke was very much aware of, as well as most of the idol industry. Even though it wasn’t public knowledge to the fans or the general public, it was quite difficult to hide relationships amongst idols. Even his relationship with Sung, while it wasn’t as common knowledge between idols as his group member and his girlfriend, still wasn’t a complete secret within the industry. It didn’t bother him too much though. It wasn’t like any idols would out them, or any other set of idols that were together romantically. There was a silent understanding amongst everyone in the idol industry; mind the business that pays you. Everyone dated, even if they weren’t supposed to. Outing one idol for dating meant opening yourself up to the possibility of being outed for dating too, which was something that everyone wanted to avoid as much as possible.
However even though he was still aware of the romantic relationship between Chunhwa and Andy, they aren’t really all that close with one another. Which wasn’t that surprising at the end of the day. It took Daisuke quite some time to warm up to people enough to consider them to be a friend of his, and most of the time he had seen Chunhwa it had only been for small instances or she was too busy with Andy for him to get to know her. Which he understood - they were idols after all, and CHARM could be exceptionally busy. Andy and Chunhwa would’ve wanted to spend as much time with each other as possible, without being interrupted by group members. “A mistress? I find that highly unlikely..” As much as Daisuke cared about him as a brother and friend, he couldn’t see a woman putting herself in the predicament of being the other woman just to sleep with Andy. Then again, his group member was attractive and apart of a popular group. That could be enough for some people. “I’ve been alright. A little busy.” He shrugged, before sighing. “Sung’s doing as well as he can right now. He’s still dealing with what happened and it’s tough, but he’s making it through.” He paused for a moment. “I’ll tell him you asked about him.”

alicefmd:
It was always so exciting to perform live. The Dream Concert lived up to its name, considering the lineup had many of Alice’s favorite acts, including Charm, Aria and the newest of the new groups, Chroma Crystal. It was just as well, since Alice left the stage just as psyched as she’d been all day. She was proud of the performance she’d given, and proud of Lucid as a whole.
As Alice weaved through the maze that was backstage, she was suddenly (lightly, to be fair) struck by a taller figure suddenly in her path. Careful to stay on her feet, Alice took the bump about as well as one could. “It’s okay, I get it.” Alice laughed, recognizing Daisuke as the Charm member he was. Regardless, she would have been kind, but there was a certain camaraderie between idols, in Alice’s mind anyway. “You’re as tall as a tree and I’m a little squirrel girl.” she acknowledged, emphasizing the height difference with a hand, though it was made all the funnier by the fact her hand couldn’t reach Daisuke’s full height. “Ah, we did! Thank you so much! I’m so glad to hear that you’re enjoying our music!” it was always exciting to hear that it was being taken well, and to hear it from someone whose music she enjoyed was all the better. “I’ve really been enjoying Left & Right myself! If you wanted, we actually brought albums to sign and pass out, it’s just we haven’t gotten that far yet. Would you like yours now?”
It wouldn’t have been the first time that he was compared to a tree, and he was sure that it wouldn’t be the last time either. He knew what people thought about when they saw him for the first time, or even after the first time; how tall he was. It was something you couldn’t miss, even if you tried to. It used to bother him when he was younger because it made him stick out like a sore thumb and he hated having attention brought to himself, but as he grew up he learned how to ignore the stares, comments and jokes. In fact, he had grown to love his height in many ways.
“I’ll try not to be so tree like in the future,” he joked, giving her an amused and kind smile as he absentmindedly fiddled with his collar. He didn’t really care for the outfits that were given to them for that concert. He wished that they would have been allowed to dress themselves, as long as they coordinated in some sense, of course. CHARM, no matter what they wore or what concept they went for, usually looked very uniform and unison. Even if they weren’t wearing the same things, they color coordinated or wore things that were similar. “It’s hard not to enjoy your music, you’re all very talented.” And he definitely believed that. Lucid had always been a group that he was interested in, even when they only had their dark concept. “You are? Thank you, we worked really hard to put on a good performance and sound good on the track. Oh, that’d be great. I’d love that.”

there were a huge variety of ways this situation could continue and jihoon wasn’t sure what he wanted to happen. a part of him really just wanted to stop acting so emotional and call it a day, probably never ever speak about it with anyone. he was very much aware he was already stuck in this awkward situation and that really wasn’t an option. another part of him thinks it would be best if daisuke told him why he was here for and then leave him be. that didn’t seem like a possible plan.
he hears the other move in the room, and he tries very hard to just keep quiet. why was it suddenly so hard to cry quietly, like he usually did? even so, the few words he heard from his groupmate were more than enough to ease some of panic jihoon was experiencing. there was a small nod from him, even if he pressed his head into his knees ever so slightly.
“i’m just stressed.“ he mutters, the hand on his shoulder causing him to tense at the sudden contact but soon relax. the vocal unit leader really wished for a hole to swallow him. this was ever so embarrassing. jihoon wasn’t even entirely sure what had stressed him so much that he had been sat alone crying for who knows how long. “i just needed a minute..“ he adds, empty excuses to try and keep himself occupied and not cry, even if he was still sniffing occasionally.
There was a large part of Daisuke that thought that maybe he should go back and grab their manager, or better yet, their leader, and have one of them come and talk to Jihoon. They were both much better equipped to handle situations like these. Then on the other hand, he knew that would have been the last thing Jihoon wanted. Or at least it would’ve been the last thing that he wanted if he were in Jihoon’s shoes. He had been walked in on during what appeared to be a very private and vulnerable moment. Daisuke knew that if that had happened to him, he would be embarrassed and ashamed and the negative emotions he would have been feeling would have only been doubled.
But at the same time, he didn’t just want to walk away from his group member. He wanted to show him that he cared about him. Daisuke had never been good with expressing himself, even with the people he was closest to. He was certain that most of the time people assumed that he just didn’t care or couldn’t be bothered, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. He was just awkward and a little emotionally stunted. He hoped that his efforts at consoling his group member came across as sincere and not fake and vapid.
“I see.” He nodded his head in understanding, because if anyone could understand, at least in some sort of way, it was Daisuke. They were both given the same schedules, given the same activities, trained for roughly the same amount of time, give or take some time. The only differences were that Jihoon wrote for the group, which was another level of stress. “Take as much time as you need.” He hesitated for a second. “If you wanna talk about it, I’ll listen.”

Dai releases BC Portal song “One Kiss”
CHARM’s Dai has released a new single through BC Portal. Dai made an appearance on BC Entertainment’s wing of Portal in January when he collaborated with Lipstick’s Ruby for the single “Happening” and he made his solo debut last May with the song “Wild Flower”. His newest single, released in audio form without a music video, draws from the classic rock influences peppering his Self-Portrait mini-album. “One Kiss” is a theatrical rock-influenced ballad, in which Dai takes another step outside of the genres and vocal delivery fans are used to hearing from him within the borders of CHARM’s discography. Dai is credited for helping in part to write the song’s lyrics.

fmdandy:
getting back into the groove of being around the charm members didn’t seem to get any easier the more he did it. an outsider looking in, it felt like. andy always needed to put more effort into things like socialization than the average person.
daisuke was one of those less average. he was basically mute, in the earlier days, and even now, seemed to still heavily prefer only speaking when he had to. andy wished he could stick by that desire when he had it, too. yet, as always happened, andy broke.
in the midst of pulling on his first outfit of the tour stop, andy turned his body more towards daisuke. “i heard that song you released a couple days ago. it was good.” he and daisuke didn’t know each other that well, so who knows if it was enough to get across how big of a compliment that was meant to be from his mouth. surely he’d complained about hating charm’s music often enough. -whatever. if he didn’t get it, a compliment was a compliment. “didn’t know you liked that kinda music. did all those regular ballads and shit before.” his body turned closer to a stylist to fuss over him, but his head still turned towards daisuke. “you gonna keep goin’ down the rock route? think it suits you, dude.”
@fmddaisuke
The past few weeks leading up to that particular day had been jam-packed with rehearsals and last minute dance practices. The choreography, by that point, was something that Daisuke felt as though he could practically do in his sleep. He wasn’t the best dancer in CHARM, actually he was one of the more weaker dancers in the bunch, but the dances had long since become muscle memory for him. Didn’t necessarily make him any more better at dancing though.
He found himself spending more and more time around his members, which wasn’t something he particularly hated. He loved and cared for his group members like family, but that didn’t mean he wanted to be around them for upwards of twelve plus hours a day anymore. Distance did make the heart grow fonder after all.
Daisuke breathed out a nearly silent breath of relief when he pulled on his pants and found that they fit almost perfectly. While it didn’t happen every time, Daisuke’s clothing being too small was an occasion that occurred one too many times for Daisuke to ever not be wary about putting on clothes he didn’t personally buy himself. He adjusted his pants before reaching for his shirt, shrugging into it just at the same moment that Andy spoke up. “Hm? Oh,” he was a little surprised, but pleasantly so. “Thank you. I worked really hard on it.” His lips slightly turned upwards at his words. “I know I may seem like a one trick pony, but I do like multiple genres of music.” His words were lighthearted. “More than likely. It’s my favorite genre.. You do? Thank you.” He bent down slightly at he knee, letting the stylist adjust his shirt and collar. “You can listen to a few of my other songs if you want. I haven’t finished the whole album yet, but I have most of it done.”

fmdchunhwa:
location: hallyu dream concert date:september 26, 2021 with: @fmddaisuke
Chunhwa would be lying if she said that she doesn’t enjoy this type of schedule, filled with other groups. She’s not particularly social, doesn’t have a lot of friends — or… any, really, outside of Lucid, Sung, and her boyfriend, which truly makes her sound pretty lame —, but somehow things feel less formal when there are more idols around. Chunhwa is not even mentioning the fact that this only means that there’s more irresponsible decisions going around altogether, as she’s had to refuse two numbers offered to her at this point, but just.. The atmosphere of it all. And, well, she’d also be lying if she said she doesn’t enjoy the excuse to hang out with the two people outside her group that she does have some level of relationship with.
She sneaks out of Lucid’s changing room at one point, being wary of vlog cameras here and there. Inevitably she ends up showing up behind one of the Unity boys’ vlogs, but Chunhwa allows herself to wave at the camera since she doesn’t think Dimensions is likely to erase her. She has a very specific destination in mind, but when she arrives at Charm’s changing room, Chunhwa finds that it’s mostly empty, save by a couple of people and some staff. She pouts, eyes meeting a familiar figure. “Ya! Daisuke!” She calls out, entering the room. “Where’s Andy? Have you y’all finally lost your patience, killed him and disposed of his body? I’d be mildly upset if that was the case.”
In all honesty, Daisuke had forgotten all about the Hallyu Dream Concert. With everything going on with CHARM’s Japan tour coming to an end, recording content and learning choreographies for their quickly approaching comeback, and Daisuke’s own solo promotions for his mini album, the Hallyu Concert was quite literally the last thing on his mind. In fact, if he hadn’t checked CHARM’s group chat that morning when he had gotten up to go to the bathroom, he probably would’ve overslept and gotten chewed out by their manager for being late and irresponsible. Fortunately luck had been on his side, and he just barely managed to make it to BC’s headquarters before the group left for the concert venue.
While it wasn’t looked upon with a smile by CHARM’s manager, Daisuke was on his fourth cup of coffee that day, needing the caffeine to help keep him alert and paying attention to his surroundings. It was one of those days where Daisuke felt completely exhausted due to him staying up to work on music the previous night. He had just finished off that fourth cup when he heard someone yelling out his name. He turned to face the source of the voice, his eyebrows furrowing before he realized who it was. “Andy?” He looked around the room, not realizing that the older male had even left. “We wouldn’t have had enough time to do all that with so many people around,” he deadpanned, playing along with her obvious joke, before shaking his head. “I haven’t seen him in about..” he glanced at his watch. “Half an hour.”
