I'm taking a break from Tumblr for a bit, I need to see what the world is like without this constantly taking my time and attention. I'm gonna log out and probably delete the app from my phone. I fucking hate how forced upon us social media is. Organizations don't have functional, up-to-date websites, they have Twitter accounts where they exclusively post their important updates. Game devs don't have actual functioning forums, they have Discord servers and Subreddits. People get the news from Twitter or Tumblr or whatever other social site where anything goes as the truth. Children are trying to diagnose themselves based on TikTok. If you don't have these things, good luck meeting anyone like you. We don't have proper social spaces anymore.

I want out. I want fucking out. I want to live a life where I use the internet to get information from actual relevant sources, download media, and talk to trusted friends, and really I'd rather be able to do that last one offline more than online. I need to get out of here, but there's nowhere to go. Everything is on social media now.

And people love to basely accuse furries of horrible sex crimes and just widely label them as predatory and will gladly demonize any sexuality expressed by someone who's using a cute animal character to do it.

Which is pretty much the same way trans people are treated in a lot of places.

Well, as I'm blocked, and they've declared that they can't be antisemitic because "they're a good person", I just... want to play with that mindset a bit. Tweak it just a little, to show how that doesn't work. But gently. I don't think I have to go too far to show how self-absolving yourself of bigotry doesn't work...
