flik carried a ridiculous amount of odd shaped steel items in a carry bag he’d strapped to his chest instead of his back to make sure nobody could nick any of the components he walked all around avenir. crossing the road when he had, had been nothing but a split second decision of his ( one that usually wasn’t a good idea in the long run ), that he was fully convinced he could get away with. when a hand hit his shoulder, he could only guess he didn’t.

turning heel, flik stared down at the young woman, pulling an earphone out of his ear so he could hear what it was she was saying, only to realize he’d been too slow to catch a single word. “ sorry, what was that you just said? i’m… well i’m in a hurry right now, so if you’ve got questions or want an autograph, you, uh, need to wait until i get out of this meeting — i’m going to change the world. ”

Judy was technically on a break at work, but that wasn’t going to stop her from watching everyone very carefully, stopping any sort of misconduct should it happen before her. Just as she was about to look away, she had noticed someone walking across the street where there was not a crosswalk. Hopping to her feet she quickly, ran across to follow them, flashing her APD badge to anybody watching so that they knew she wasn’t the one jaywalking. 

Catching up to the person in question, Judy gently put a hand on their shoulder before speaking. “So, uh, hey. As much as I hate to tell you this, you can’t actually cross the road there, especially without paying attention to ongoing traffic, so that’s technically jaywalking and you really can’t do that.”
