Sometimes people are mean, uncaring assholes, in which case you get to be mad. But sometimes you just need to communicate better. Try communication before you assume someone doesn't care!

It's hard to want to stay in the welcome home fandom :( people on tiktok are getting harrased. Kids keep invading the playfellow xxx tag, one "fursuiter" for the welcome home fandom was getting hate comments and constantly called ugly. The shock value au, the rampit disregard for boundaries both AU makers and Clown's. The infantilizing of Wally like he's some helpless baby. Shoot we have our Fictive Walden on lock down and close supervision because some people have gotten really creepy towards him :( I'm trying to hold onto hope and just ride the waves out but frankly, this fandom is almost as bad as some I used to be in back in the day.

I'm at the point where I'm sticking to the main Welcome home itself and the rainbow factory au by dodozoi (mostly because I sadly relate to Rf!Wally pre-skeleton hand.)

I want to like Welcome Home but the fandom is just not it. And the harassment that person I know who you're talking abour? mouseorchin? The hate that persons getting for their cosplay is EXACTLY why I scrapped my sons Barnaby fursuit in favor of just a generic beagle.

So the Barnaby cosplay my son was gonna do is bow scrapped. The welcome home fandom has gotten toxic to where I'm no longer comfortable with my baby being in the fandom.which sucks :/
