plot: your muse is one of his kid’s teacher, and instead of sending back the recipe for the vegan brownies he brought to the bake sale he accidentally sent a picture of his ween. 

           “it doesn’t have to be awkward when i pick them up, y’know. i offered to pay for as much therapy as you needed! …but i thought maybe i could come in and apologize in person for possibly scarring you forever. and, i brought the recipe.” he reached out with a piece of paper between fingers, hands covered in tattoos and rings. “what else can i do to make up for it? buy you all new supplies? get plastic surgery so every time you see me i don’t look like me?”

drew took the recipe, with a slight shake of her head, a blush on her cheeks, “i- no, no, it was an honest mistake, right? please.” she let out a soft laugh, “i’ve seen far worse, believe me,” she teased, not at all willing to mention that it was maybe (embarrassingly) the most action she had gotten since her divorce and it was only a picture, “almost returned the favor before i realized it was an accident.” her tone was still joking, but there was some truth to the statement.

“yeah, yeah. you sure you didn’t just want to make me suffer for a little bit?” addie was of course joking, wasn’t able to drag his mother to his face. especially given the fact that she actually wanted micah to like her. “uh, no. not really. i mean i kept the details as surface level as i could. told her i was a dancer and that i teach classes. just… y’know, not which ones. spoke about my family for way too long, though.” considering she didn’t have much good to say about them it had been an awkward topic but something easy to talk about, she supposed. “you think she approves of me? would you be able to tell by now?”

he snorted, “suffer? i like ya too much.” it was honest and he ignored the feeling of a slight blush creeping up the tips of his ears. micah nodded then, “nothin’ like a chaotic family event to make ya spill about your own- glad it wasn’t too bad though. i’ll protect you for the rest of the night.” he smiled, a slightly shy, slightly classically mischievous one, “she likes you. she told me you were out of my league- i agreed and told her definitely not to tell you that,” he half-joked, “but yeah, you’ve won her over for sure. never doubted you, ad.” he wondered if that was revealing too much- about how he felt or about why he had invited her to begin with- but he decided maybe honesty was the best policy.
