So I just got Ryde past the Titan fight and onwards to Garuda and I uh... forgot... about the attack on the Waking Sands that happens RIGHT AFTER TITAN

So Zeryde meets Ziero just before Titan is summoned, bc she got her ass captured by the goblins for sneaking around

And then Ryde just... tags long as they return to the Waking Sands, with the intention of Ziero going to Minfillia and making introductions

Except the Scions are attacked and all but annihilated, right? So while Ziero is grieving for the sylph and the Scions, Ryde is just standing in the corner going

And then when they're in the church and Alphinaud shows up demanding Cid rememeber who he is and that they need to go deal with Garuda and need his air ship, she just leans over to Ziero and goes

"... why is this child bossing us around??"

And Ziero just sighs in tired Sharlayan Gleaner and pats poor Cid on the shoulder

And that's how Ryde gets introduced to the Scions, with the attack, having to go fight Garuda and then breaking them out of the Castrum.

By the time she's actually inducted in the Scions, they've moved to Mor Dhona and have to deal with the Ultima weapon.

i love it when characters are codependent. i love it when losing someone feels like losing a limb. i love it when two people "complete" each other so wholly and terribly that one can barely function without the other. i love it when the fear of losing the only person who understands them is so all-consuming they'll destroy anything to stay together, including themselves.

Aah this one is fun!! And I guess tw for gore - there's no pictures but I am talking about things that killed a man 😂

So in pretty much every version, universe, whatever - Braeden dies. Full stop, do not pass go, do not collect $200.

One of the things I wish I could find a mod for - or had the patience to draw on - is the scar from the wound that killed him. It goes across his throat and deep enough that it damages his voice.

He can glamour the scar but can't take away how it affects him, making his voice raspy and difficult to use for long periods of time.

One of the things I can show though, is his leg!!

This gorgeous magitech leg is by far my FAVOURITE little detail because it is a hang over from WoW - when he was resurrected as a Death Knight and part of the process was literally stitching on another leg.

I think the magitech has actually opened up a lot of other options in terms of at least putting him into XIV.

And I am trying Very Hard to keep this just appearance related so I will end the rambling here!

hello! this is very hopeful thinking, but i'd rather give it a try than not. i used to use twitter several years ago, and was mutuals with quite a few fellow elezen players. the decline of twitter forced people to move to other places, and it's been two-ish years since i withdrew from my profile. i stayed off social media for awhile, but i'm checking out tumblr again, which happens to be a completely different platform from all of those connections. attached are the two elezen of mine i posted about the most, and are old photos that were posted on the account back then. if you recognise them, please do comment, send me a message, or follow me. despite my choice to stop posting, losing all of my old final fantasy mutuals, friends, and people i had played with wasn't entirely something i'd planned. i also enjoyed attending elezen art parties and all-elezen content runs. i'd be so happy if i could get in touch with anyone again.

"How can WoL be challenged if they've literally fought the end of the universe and the eldest primals?"

Occams Razor. This is Tural. The new world. It might contain magics and skills, WoL isn't use to dealing with. Its like asking how Stormblood could still challenge a WoL who faced down First Brood Dragons like Nidhogg and Hraesvelgr and even Bahamut Prime. Simply because we're not use to dealing with Kami or the martial arts of the regions we are entering. Not to mention there are creatures and environments we aren't use to dealing with. Or like how Shadowbringers could challenge WoL after they've dealt with Omega and fought entire armies and Zenos. Because we weren't use to dealing with Sineaters and Lightwardens.

Every new expansion is a simple explanation on how trials can still be difficult for us narratively when we've dealt with greater foes before. Also Zodiark was incomplete and being driven by a mad man who didn't have actual full control of it, Hydaelyn was at her weakest and Endsinger can to contend with the prayers of our friends and us channeling dynamis in a way she couldn't of predicted. We still have plenty of room to grow.

I'll be honest... I dont understand people's gripes about mods breaking in DT. This happened with Endwalker, and mods didn't completely implode. I know that some of its different, given the graphics updates, and it WILL take time to update mods

But they'll come back???

Like I know we all want our blorbos to look what they look like now through launch. Like I plan to actually fantasia Ziero to make his white tips and eyes 'in game' (and probably adjust his skintone a little with the update) since dalamud and glamourer will be down for a long while.

But then again, I don't understand the people who make their toons into imvu avatars with giant tits and hips or massive dongs either. No shade to those who do, it's just not my vibe lol

Like for me, I'm more sad that I won't have my combo buttons for a long while and will have to reorder my bars again

But like mods break with every patch and expansion, not sure why this is so painful for people rn?
