Ok I loved Halloween Kills... yes there was no plot and it was tonally very different from 2018 but I am interested to see how they end the Legacy trilogy. My only complaint is WHY DO WE HAVE LAURIE SPENDING THE ENTIRE MOVIE IN A HOSPITAL BED AGAIN!!!!!!

I can rewatch pts 1-4 of F13 an embarrassing amount of times per year.
Part 1 captures the embodiment of slasher genre and has great characters. I am nostalgic for this one but really the entire series
Part 2 improves on the formula, to me Ginny is one of the superior final girls. I love the sackhead Jason and feel like Steve miner’s direction was just spot on for this one. Love the shots of Jason in the background
Part 3 plays it safer, but has a lot more fun with the 3D effects. I’ve never watched it in full 3D bc the glasses don’t really work well with my TV. I love this one. The synth score is a blessing for this franchise. I listen to it more than any of the others easily. Great effects
Part 4 is my definitive favorite. Definitely the most full throttle but pure DNA F13 movie. Even tho it is not the last one I still feel like Final Chapter is appropriate as it is the last time we see Jason as the real, non-zombie (hillbilly) Jason. I love that Tom Savini comes back for this one
Honorable mentions: pt 6 because it’s great, but I don’t know how much I care for the meta awareness that it brings into the franchise. And Jason X because it’s a drunken comfort to me. I love Uber Jason and (of course) that CRYO-ICE KILL

Thoughts on the Halloween Kills trailer from a few weeks ago?
I cut it off after about 30 seconds because I felt like so many kills were spoiled and I fucking hate that

What’s your fave Friday the 13th movie? Here’s my drunk rankings (best to worst):
1. Final Chapter (1984)
2. Part 2 (81)
3, 3-D (83)
4. Jason Lives (86)
5. Friday the 13th (1980)
6. F vs J (03)
7. Jason X (01)
8. Jason Goes to Hell (93)
9. Remake (09)
10. New Beginning (85)
I haven’t seen New Blood or Manhattan since middle school so I’ll just leave them out for now lol. I definitely feel like the initial run of 1-4 is the strongest run of really any slasher,l
you could argue Freddy 1-5 are a strong run too but really 1-4 are AMAZING and so is part 6 Jason lives.
I’ve found a new appreciation for this series and really would love to see a sequel to Jason lives / Final chapter one day

If Halloween (1978) takes place in 1963, why does Halloween (2018) take place in 2018? It is supposed to be “40 years later” right? So that would be ‘03 right or am I just being dumb at 7am

I watched the original Last House on the Left with my gf last night and it made us feel sick more than anything lol. Those scenes in the woods are a lot worse than I remember was a kid?? how was I watching this in middle school unbothered lmao
But at the same time, I almost felt unsatisfied by the revenge story in the second half of the film. I do think it pushed boundaries for 72 but maybe my 2020 lens is busted lol. I feel like there could have been more payoff and pain inflicted on the killers to offset the first half. Thoughts?
