Features a blue tourmaline dome, designed to mimic the night sky turning into dawn, encrusted with diamonds that represent the stars. 'Made from our 2000 year old Thames Wood, 18 carat yellow gold, Akoya pearls and bronze.' £4,050
Part of the Thames Wood collection:
'In 63AD the Romans had to rebuild the port facilities of London on a part of the Thames. The most enduring material for this structure at that time was wood. They found a small forest of Oak trees growing on the Greenwich peninsula and dragged the huge timbers to the site. Slowly over time the Roman port had become submerged and has been preserved in silt for over 2,000 years. We now own this remarkable material and like diamonds there is a limited amount of this precious artefact. Using innovative new technology in order to utilise this resource, we have made a core Thames Wood collection.'

'Assembled over approximately 1,780 hours that called upon the Maison’s heritage of gold work and encounters with multiple disciplines, the flowing Cartier Libre Tressage Cape took shape in the heart of Cartier’s workshops over the course of 2 years of design and realization: A celebration of 67,000 yellow gold chainmail links connected by hand, specially-developed gold zips, 14 faceted onyx tassels and more than 150 diamonds.'
