Trina | Werewolf

She was a vampire who provoked a werewolf into attacking her because she was suicidal and the werewolf virus won out instead of killing her aaaand bam! werewolf.

A little more history: 

As a near-teenager, Trina spent a lot of time out in the woods: playing with friends, playing with her little brother, getting scratch up and playing pretend. An older boy caught her attention in the forest, spoke pretty words and led her off the beaten path. Trina woke up as the sun was going down, in the hollow of a tree, not entirely sure what had happened. She went home as though nothing was wrong, only to find that her parents had believed her missing, and she’d actually been gone for several days. 

Unable to recollect the truth of the situation, Trina did what most children do: she lied, said she had just been playing and hadn’t meant to cause problems when she got lost trying to find her way home. In truth, it takes her several years before she remembers the events of those few days and when she does she wishes she could forget again. 

In the interim: vampirism slowly changes her. Sensitivity to sunlight, the smell of blood becoming mouthwateringly delicious, vicious outbursts out of proportion to any stimuli. As these things go, she killed someone she cared about - a classic in the tale of youngling vampires.

She flees after the death of her brother, leaves home at freshly thirteen and spends the fall living in the woods and making do with deer and whatever else she can catch. 

Flash forward to travelling further, getting good at using the innate vampiric power of thrall. She ends up in Japan, befriends a group of ‘sisters’ who take her in, a lost one that they can save. 

Lissa, Bennie, Charlene. They help her learn how to be a full person in a way she hadn’t managed on her own. Charlene gives her synthetic blood and the three women help her deal with her temper. She makes friends, has relationships, loses both in the way that humans do. 

Another jump in time, a bad year that only seems to get worse. What friends Trina still has, she mistreats in a grave way, and finally she can take it no further. She starves herself and wanders the streets of London, dizzy and strung out, and falls into a werewolf’s territory.

She provokes, insults, makes the first attack. She’s weak, but she fights this fallen werewolf prince with what strength and fury she has, a vague attempt at making this anything other than a suicide by werewolf’s teeth. 

He gets her, tears into her and she fleetingly thinks that Charlene and Felix and Caine would be disappointed in her for not being strong enough to live on. 

She wakes in a Sanctuary, a werewolf haven, with sunshine on her face for the first time in years. 

She’d survived.

Sunfire || Street Racer

Hana can drive way before she's legal for it, and is participating in illegal street races by the age of fourteen. Racing is in her blood, between her parents and her extended family, and she takes to it like a duck to water. Her mother, Cobalt [real name unknown], keeps her on a short leash for a long time to keep her out of trouble; until she's eighteen and allowed to make her own mistakes without her mom hovering. And mistakes she makes. 

By nineteen she’s been in lockup a few times, but never for very long. That is, of course, until she runs a red light on the wrong cop’s watch and gets caught up on charges she hadn’t realized she’d been nailed on. 

She ends up in a correctional facility, separated from her daughter and boyfriend, for over a year. Visitation days are Hana’s favorite thing and are what keep her from retaliating against some of the hazing she receives. Her boyfriend, Noah, brings their daughter and it’s the best day of the week for her.

Keliana Owens || Master Strategist/Consort of the Future Queen

Keliana is the eldest of three children: she has a twin brother (Sebastian) and a younger sibling, Haven. Her mother Serreah is the chief healer to Mab (queen of the Fae and goddess of magic), which throws her into the world of magic from a very young age.

She chooses to join Mab’s court as a Page of Mab’s House (a position afforded to her because of her grandfather’s history with Mab), and works hard in her studies. Kel does not have much magical aptitude of her own, and instead makes herself useful with her passion for strategy.

When she is a small child, she believes she has an imaginary friend: a fae girl who goes with her on her little excursions around the castle and into the gardens and woods outside. It isn’t until she’s older, ready to move from Page to Squire, that she finds out that her ‘imaginary friend’ is very real and is actually the youngest child and future successor of Mab: Melody.

Serreah Owens (neé Niclitian) || Healer

Serreah is a mother of three: Keliana, Sebastian, and Haven. She is also the primary healer to Queen Mab, goddess of magic and queen of the Fae, and has been for many years.

Her healing is an innate ability that she has honed over the years, and is in fact the only reason that she is alive. 

Notable features: 

faint leopard-like spots, most visible on the ‘points’ of her body (shoulders, elbows, knees, etc)

chunk of watermelon tourmaline in right forearm

chunk of bloodstone in forehead (often hidden by fringe)

Fun fact:

she’s half feline, half elf. her mother (Gina) is half leopard/half elf, and her father (Onturo) is half white tiger/ half elf

her feline form leans more leopard, though snowy/gray as opposed to her mother’s melanistic black. 

does have a few tiger markings but they are hard to see
