ooooOOo crud the way the persona 3 MC departs from life in the embrace of a being who loves them dearly, into the embrace of Death, a being who also loves them dearly

I really hope persona 6 has a lot of references to the past games. 2, 3, and 4 all had loads of callbacks to the past games (the p1 cast being in 2, innocent sin online and the who’s who show, and visiting 3’s school on a trip and Margaret referencing Elizabeth’s quest to free makoto) whereas 5 comparatively had hardly anything. There’s a rise poster and an equivalent to the who’s who show. Even tanaka, a modern persona staple, was largely replaced and relegated to a shady website. Even the velvet room, a staple of the franchise as a whole, is the most disconnected it’s ever been. I’m not asking for the phantom thieves to show up (stares daggers at p5x) or anything, just more references to show this a single living world.
