The dichotomy of Blitz finding it to be almost a source of...idk, comfort? Like to him, it seems to make him feel safer because he knows what's "expected" of him and sex is something that's easy for him to give. While Stolas, who spent his life in a cage, forced to be with someone he didn't want, is worrying that he's done the same to Blitz. I just find it interesting that they view their arrangement so differently!

I love Stolitz because it isn't a will-they-wont-they where a love confession is the emotional height of their near future (not that I don't love those they're just so common for romantic relationships I enjoy).

Stolas has made it pretty clear how he feels about Blitz, if Blitz would just pay attention and believe him. Blitz doesn't need to hear Stolas say "I love you" he needs to be able to believe all the more solid evidence that Stolas has already given him.

Stolas maybe would benefit from an "I love you" from Blitz, but I don't know if he'd even know what to do with it. I think he needs an "I want you" more. Which, of course, should mean the same thing, but Stolas is floundering he doesn't even know how to love precisely, he's figuring it out. It'd be nice, it'd help him to be sure, but the "I want to spend time with you I choose to be with you because I want to" in more explicit/precise terms and actions would help him so much more.

blitz is truly a mentally ill fave because he is most comfortable in scenarios where he’s being hurt—from his own mind, from the situation, from an individual, etc. he would rather exist in that, burrow himself in that, than try to do anything about it because discomfort is familiar and familiar is less scary than hope, than trying and failing
