One of the most dangerous things in the world is not being able to say no to people because you don't want to upset them or dissapoint them. This will completely ruin your life in every way possible, at work, in your private life, your sex life and your friendships. It's a way of removing your own consent in your own decisions and go against your wishes, it is always a crime against yourself. Let yourself have a say. Upsetting people is better than traumatizing yourself.

sorry but Michaela Coel was âfleabaggingâ a year before Phoebe Waller Bridge. Chewing Gum was written by and starring Michaela Coel, she breaks the fourth wall and talks candidly (and hilariously) about her inner workings and sexual intimacies. She also began Chewing Gum as a one woman show and then developed it into a show, just like Phoebe Waller Bridge did a year later. The only real difference is that Chewing Gum is set on an estate in London and is predominantly concerned with a Black point of view within a working class community, while Fleabag is about a psychologically unstable middle class white woman. Iâm not throwing shade at Fleabag - itâs beautifully executed, beautifully written and beautifully performed. But what I hate is that its style has been received as so ORIGINAL when Michaela Coel had done Chewing Gum already. Phoebe Waller Bridge did an amazing job with that style, BUT SHE DID NOT COIN IT.
It sadly doesnât surprise me that Fleabag has made Phoebe Waller Bridge almost sacred in the theatre/tv community while Michaela Coel had to write, create, direct and star in ANOTHER masterpiece of a completely different style (I May Destroy You) before she even got into the same arena. That truly is double the work for half the reward.
Chewing Gumâs humour is colourful, loud, quirky and unflinchingly embarrassing. I love it. Also the main character, despite her flaws and many embarrassing encounters, is a truly positive role model for any young girl embarking into their sexual lives - she makes a lot of mistakes but she is earnestly pursuing GOOD SEX (whatever that meansđđđ). Something I love is how she always completely unabashedly tells her potential sexual partners that sheâs a virgin (âOh no weâre 100% having sex. I just canât do any tricksâ đđ). Also, the sex scenes in Chewing Gum are 100000% funnier and more interesting than the sex scenes in Fleabag, because itâs about a completely inexperienced and enthusiastic (and possibly autistic? Not sure but it was a thought I had) 24 year old woman who is determined to lose her virginity - and often completely mistranslates her friendsâ well meaning advice about the art of seduction. Give it a watch - itâs now on Netflix. Support Michaela Coel who is a PIONEER of television in the UK, and love to the hugely talented Phoebe Waller Bridge, too. Two women forging the way for young women to write and star in their own shows. But do your homework and donât let the originators go by the wayside.

iâll forgive a fat girl for so many annoying things simply because i know how fucking miserable it is to be a fat girl. like. you dont get to exist freely and with any joy until you go through a decades long soul search full of extreme emotional pain OR you nearly kill yourself to become something society might accept. or you toughen up after years of bullying forced you to be more confident. literally there is no painless route to being a fat girl in your 20 somethings. so like. fat girls can be annoying as a treat. you have all been annoying our whole lives

Hey, I'm a queer black enby who desperately needs to get an abortion, but literally can't due to my state's (idaho's) restrictive bullshit abortion laws.
I'm mentally ill and have a part time remote job, but can't hold more hours. my roommate/friend is a trans person with a full time remote job, so fortunately we can stay employed out of state. but with mounting bills and the soaring cost of living we need some extra help with being able to move to oregon.
i'm setting my goal to $500 for gas, motel, and food, but literally any bit helps. thank you guys.

ik i said sarah isnât my type but maybe in the context of likeâŚ. john b and sarah dating, appearing normal and regular to everyone around them but really theyâre a pair of weird perverts, seeking out a sweet innocent girl for them to use like a little toy. they pick up a sweetheart working at the library, shy and lonely and decide sheâs the one !! so they befriend her and start to bring her everywhere, getting her used to their copious amounts of affection that they play off as platonic⌠john b constantly putting an arm around your waist or stroking the back of your head which makes you nervously glance to sarah, not wanting to be disrespectful but sheâs already gazing at you with that thinly veiled excitement and encouragement.
sarah is touchier than john b, knowing youâll likely think nothing of it if itâs another girl. she doesnât even know if you like girls like that, and you feel totally ashamed at the way your cunt clenches and gets all sticky when she jokingly grabs at your tits infront of everyone or smacks your ass, telling you to stop hiding that âpretty assâ from her. you figure this is just how they are with their friends. open and affectionateâ itâs only when the two invite you to a sleepover you suspect they might have been concocting something all along.
it gets onto the topic of sex, and youâre shameful to admit that youâve never done anything like that before â coming from a very strict, perhaps religious family. sarah is still playing bestie-bestie with you, grabbing you to say âwait, hold on. youâre telling me youâve never even made out with a guy? okay, youâre missing out. john b come here.â the two of them ushering you onto his lap. you feel nervous, like youâre being disrespectful once more and she simply reassures you, kissing your shoulder and telling you in your ear that itâs ââfine, babe. iâm right here so itâs not even weird.â
the night progresses, and doesnât stop progressing until youâre totally nude, laying against sarah who encourages you as you take all of john bâs length, the man above you slowly grinding his cock inside you inch by inch as you wince, clenching hard around what heâs feeding you slowly. sarah is right there for you, starting off by simply holding your hand, sharing giggles with you. giggles that turn into kisses, that turn into her sucking on your tits and rubbing at your clit whilst her boyfriend fucks you.
john b is super sweet about it too as you can imagine. âhey, weâd never make you do anything you donât wanna do. yeah?â brow all creased in genuine concern as he takes his turn to thumb at your clit. youâre split open around him, watery eyes glancing between the two to shake your head.
âfeels really good.â you hiccup, and the couple share a chuckle together.
âthaaat, i figured. youâre like⌠incredibly wet. itâs amazing.â
so do we fw that or no .

This is for all the unsung fic writers; the ones who donât make the must-read lists, the ones who donât get recced, the ones who donât get hundreds of kudos, the rarepair writers out on the peripheries of fandom, the ones who toil away quietly for the handful of people who read and love them. You matter - youâre a writer too, and donât you ever forget it. :)
