I can’t stand Mikoto and I hope I never see her again.

And can’t fully explain it but she feels shoehorned in, like she’s a doman noblewoman with a super useful version of the Echo and also a student of baldesion, despite us being told there was only one remaining student of baldesion (krile) and for that matter only one with the Echo was also Krile. Not to mention I genuinely really hate the way she forced Cid to relive the worst day of his life.

It feels like some writer decided to shove in their WoL or OC into the plot suddenly and without caring about the previously established lore

I’m trapped away from my games and sketch book so I guess I’ll share some headcanons of this while I chill

I still think that at least Kickin was trying to leave and he probably convinced a few of the others to go with him. His mistake was bringing Picky who was going though the worst hunger she’d ever had, and if she didn’t kill him herself she certainly finished him off to eat. Some of the others might have even escaped up past him (craftycorn) since he was more then willing to go first for his friends.

Hoppy fled as well but when push came to shove she couldn’t jump to safety herself, because she was trying to save someone she had with her (Bobby Bearhug) instead of leaping and only thinking about herself.

After the loss of the two bravest and athletic members, Bubba attempted to talk Catnap down, which failed. Logic can’t reason with a belief system based on emotion. Picky ate his remains.

Craftycorn might have gotten out, if the warnings left out by Poppy’s dollhouse were left by her, but she couldn’t leave her friends behind. She went back. Picky ate her remains regardless of who did the deed.

Bobby was never found in the hidden parts of the factory. She fell so far, with no friends by her side, the last thing she saw of her friends was Hoppy sacrificing herself for her. She died alone, but not forgotten.

Picky survived this long cannibalizing her friends and maybe even keeping the blood off her own hands if she swooped in after Catnap, but she played her hand too hard when she actively went after Dogday, who until this point didn’t know how Picky was doing so well health wise. Catnap saved him by cutting Picky down. They were friends, after all.

We know how Dogday met his end, and Catnap as well.

Made them look more like marketable plush icons and less like mascot horror icons

The secret in this post is that I put them in the general order I think they died in, Bobby Bearhug being able to be moved around a bit but I like to think she lasted long enough to miss the majority of her pals.

So we know Catnap was the last Smiling Critter after Dogday but using the cutouts dialogue I get the feeling Picky Piggy lasted a while too, and specifically she killed Bubba and Crafty.

The question to me is what got Hoppy and Kickn because it sounds like they were both trying to escape, i.e. "I've never been outside before" and "let's hop to the moon", I can only assume Catnap might have hunted them down for insubordination since I doubt they made it up to Mommy's lair and especially not up to Huggy's front entrance hang out.

Bobby Bearhug is the one I can't place and it's mostly because her dialogue is about missing you, the human player and not wanting to be left again. She could have been the first, or could have gone after Kickn and Hoppy tried to escape.

Having rewatched a lot of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic over the past week I gotta say my biggest complaint with the movie is no longer that Discord was shown only in the credits like, where is he? because he does do that a whole lot in the show too

But my problem is now that STARLIGHT GLIMMER is right there. I saw her, Twilight flew past her during the opening song.

Starlight can fight an alicorn to a standstill and you mean to tell me she didn't at least tear through part of this army?

Like between her, Discord who could be manipulated into helping with the implication it would make Fluttershy happy, the CMC, Trixie, Moondancer and Twilight's other Canterlot friends, and the entire Apple family, I'm sorry this invasion should have been held at a standstill in Canterlot even if they couldn't unfreeze the princesses.

HELL WHERE WAS SHINING ARMOR? Do you mean to tell me he, for once, was ruling the Empire on his own?
