A father's appeal for his children's peace

Imagine a world where instead of raindrops falling from the sky, bombs rain down, and instead of soothing lullabies, the sound of warplanes fills the air. This is the harsh reality for my children, Lama (8) and Hussam (5), and their soon-to-be-born sister. We live in Gaza, a place where hope seems to fade away.

I'm Hamdi, their father, and I feel the heavy burden of ensuring a better future for them.

War has taken away my job, our home, and the very essence of our existence. We now live in makeshift tents, sharing what little we have in this besieged land. Yet, amidst all the destruction, my wife's pregnancy brings a glimmer of hope.

Her growing belly symbolizes hope in this bleak environment, but I can't help but worry about the world we're bringing our child into.

Friends in Egypt have offered us a chance to escape this nightmare, but the path to safety is blocked by a daunting barrier: the border crossing demands $5,000 for each life to pass through.

I plead with you, don't let my children become victims of war.

Your contribution, no matter how small, could be the key to unlocking a future free from fear and filled with opportunities.

the fact that Bart Allen (yj cartoon) is the literal inventor of time travel is everything to me actually . he just has to live with that knowledge . he is the only time traveler / time expert in that entire timeline that will probably exist for a long long time . he invented a Time Machine at like … 12 . he’s experienced unimaginable horrors in an apocalyptic world no one even remembers or could comprehend . he managed to gather parts and build a Time Machine without getting caught or killed in said apocalyptic wasteland . he saved the entire planet as an actual child . he had the weight of saving a whole timeline from an alien invasion on his shoulders and couldn’t tell anyone about it for a long time . he erased the family he knew from existence . he has survivor’s guilt on a planetary scale, he is the only person from his era who made it out . he can’t know if he has inadvertently prevented his own birth or the existence of his other family members . he doesn’t know what effect his presence will have on the present and the future . he is the only time traveler in existence, and no one can totally understand him .

I love bluepulse because of how “fuck destiny” the very premise is. If we’re looking at what’s “destined” that would be Bart’s future- ashen skies, humanity enslaved, Jaime’s body used to accomplish it.

But Bart says “fuck it” and completely changes the future, because the future is bad. And somehow, in changing the future, he finds a best friend and maybe more in someone who was forced by destiny to become his enemy. And maybe if he were someone different, someone who believed in fate, he wouldn’t have looked at someone who was used to destroy humanity and shouted “friend!” but he’s a fuck destiny kind of guy, and Jaime’s a fuck destiny kind of guy, fighting against Tye’s mom’s boyfriend and for as long as he can to get the scarab off his back when he figures out he’ll be used against humanity because he won’t let that happen.

They’re rage, rage against the dying of the light boys and I love them so much. Everything around them says they shouldn’t love each other; they shouldn’t have even met, person to person, but they did and they love each other and it’s amazing
