Kind of hilarious to me how poorly the title "Mob Psycho 100" localized to English-speaking areas. To someone whose first language is English, it scans as:

Mob (Yakuza, Mafia)

Psycho (violent person with "crazy" behaviors)

Thus: a particularly violent member of organized crime.

But in Japanese it scans as:

Mob (background characters in crowd scenes in manga or anime)

Psycho (short for psychic)

Thus: a psychic who looks/acts like someone you'd never pick out of a crowd scene in a comic.

Kids these days don't know what the fuck a liminal space is anymore but they use it to describe fucking EVERYTHING.

I still think they should make a netflix documentary on it and I mean the whole thing so far the video essays on it kind of failed to capture the DSMP in it's entirety. Like they'd talk about the 'main storyline' and then skim over everything else and that really does a disservice to the whole thing. I think that server should be a case study in like how adolescent creativity was impacted by the pandemic because there's really no way to recreate what was a bunch of young adult gamers and making them do theater.
