I went to an ATM this morning and there was a receipt in there that indicated someone is walking around with $62,000 in their checking account. What is that persons life like???? This is going to haunt me for a while.

I’m at the movies and a woman just asked the guy behind the concessions counter if she can plug in and charge her phone back there and have him watch it for her while she watches the movie. What a world we live in (he said no).

no more group chats. we meet once a week from now on and everyone prepares 2 personal stories and 3-5 memes and we sit in a circle and have a Socratic seminar covering these topics

RIP Alice Munro, an amazing writer whose books I never gave a chance until recently because I always saw them with covers that look like this and it totally put me off them. They’re great books! No one would give Raymond Carver a book cover that looks like this and she’s just as good! Maybe it’s my own bias but I think she deserved better!

Just had a very nice woman on the phone say “and happy Mother’s Day if that applies to you” and I said “well it doesn’t but thank you anyway” and then she said back “well if you’re an auntie or a godmother or whatever you are….it still applies”

It doesn’t actually! I’m not a mom and that’s fine! I can live with it! Not everything needs to be for every person!
